Love this place! Trails are well marked and not to many major inclines. The trail is very narrow in the beginning of the blue trail, down by the river but the further you go the wider it gets. Good hike.

Nice trail! The app only shows a one mile trail but if you combine the orange and blue trail you get a nice 1.8 mile hike and you’re along the river most of the time! Trail is very narrow in places but well cared for by the county. Park is closed mid Nov-March.

This was a great find for us. We were here on a weekday and since the park was pretty empty, it allowed us to let our dog play off leash for a short time. We will definitely be back while we're in the area!

Very cute little park very easy to hike and you get immediate gratification by being able to see the waterfall.

The one mile blue trail is excellent for families with kiddos of all ages as well as dogs. The first half follows the river with an excellent view of the rapids, while the second half loops through pine forests. The suspension bridge is beautiful and there are plenty of picnicking areas. Take advantage of the free life vests and float through the rapids or wade in the shallow water.

I've visited state parks that aren't as well maintained as this county park. There is a $2 entrance fee so I'm sure that helps with maintenance. The falls are pretty. There are unique places to have picnics -- like a picnic table on top of a boulder in the midst of Ramsey Creek. I love the confluence of Ramsey with the Chauca River. As others have said, there are other falls and rapids along rocky Chauca so be sure to cross the bridge and take a hiking trail beside the river.

Took the blue loop. Great views, steep at times, but well worth it. Rough for small kids.

Nice park. Lots of things to do. Good trails. Several trails not shown on this app? Can do all trails in a couple hours and very worth doing. Scenic and a good workout.

Really nice area. No hike at all to the falls. They’re right by the parking area.

I had a long week of hiking! I wanted an easy day. This was a perfect place to go. I hiked the orange trail. Very easy. Very short. A large portion of it is next to the water. There were many chances to rock hop and stick your feet in the water. There were families on the sandy beach areas. And there were kids playing in the rapids. There are free loaner life jackets. It looked like a fun time had by all! It was only two dollars per car to get in. And they have replaced a lot of the wood on the bridges, and on the steps. The bathrooms are very very clean

I would definitely recommend this trail to anyone. It was easy, medium, and hard routes you can choose from. We had my dog with us so we took the easy route which went along the river 95% of the way. It was a very easy hike. We had severe rain just hours before we went but there was barely any mud on the trail. There’s plenty of beautiful and relaxing spots for you to go out on the river to get your feet wet or let your dog play. Parts of the river move really fast and can be rough so you have to watch where you let your dogs step. The entire trail is shaded with trees and it was a very pleasant hike! We arrived at 8:30 am and didn’t see anybody the entire hike! Absolutely amazing, we’ll definitely be back!

I was very impressed with how maintained the trail is and that after 3 days of rain there were only a few small muddy areas that were easily avoidable. Part of the trail runs along the beautiful rushing water of Chauga River, with one big waterfall and several smaller ones. A lot of places to swim along the way! It was also a quiet trail during the week if you do the whole thing!

Falls right near parking area. Trail continues over swing bridge and uphill. A bit steep for some. Return is along creek. $2 per car well worth it.

Beautiful walk along the river. But they have several different trails that aren’t indicated on this app. We did the blue trail and it was pretty easy.

A beautiful waterfall with a short walk along the river.

Nice moderate hike. did 2 miles most of which was along the river with many little spurs down to the water. Passed several great looking swimming spots and many places for kids to wade and play. Stayed at campground which is well kept, Friendly park staff, nice clean bath house and very quiet. 1st weekend in October and only about 8 campsites being used! . I'd definitely come back. * Is a little tricky for very large and or 5th wheel type campers! Call directly to get a site for very large rigs.
