very short walk really. Falls are gorgeous especially when butt slide and scramble to the bottom.

Short hike the real view is when you scramble to the base of the falls.

Really pretty an an easy walk to the lookout. If you really want to have fun, scramble down the trail to the bottom of the falls. :)

Beautiful waterfall. If you do the complete 6 mile trail, I would definitely rate this trail as moderate. My tracker put it equivalent to climbing 88 flights of stairs and that doesn’t include declines. Trail is very clean. There are bathrooms at the parking lot which is very convenient.

It’s a nice trail for everyone.. If you want to enjoy just the falls from the distance, you can do it from the overlook. However you can climb down the bottom of the waterfall which is really steep and enjoy it from close.

I've been here several times and stop by with the camera gear anytime I'm in the area.

Going to the bottom and getting back up is pretty steep. Great challenge.

The waterfall is fantastic and a fairly easy hike. Not much parking if more than 3-4 vehicles.

Short hike nice falls

It’s an easy hike. I found it slightly more difficult personally because I’m short and that made getting over some of the rocks or logs difficult for me.

An easy trail to hike, if you want to go to the bottom, it’s a little steep, but if dry, easy to get down to, and back up. Awesome fall to check out!

Easy to hike. Waterfall at the end is really pretty! We went in the winter and there were a lot of icecicles which made it even prettier. Heads up to hikers bringing their pets there's apparently someone who lives near by that lets their dog roam free and he's taken up shop at the trail head and tags along with hikers. Seems friendly enough but if your dog isn't always dog friendly like ours it could ruin the hike for you.

Quick and easy. Steep slope going to the bottom but doable.

Very pretty!

Beautiful fall. Access to bottom fairly easy can get behind top tier of fall.

Easy peasy. Kid friendly.

The steep decent looks scarier than it is. The view of the waterfall below is amazing. You might even catch a rainbow at the bottoms of falls. Beware of snakes-my son found a few at the bottom of the falls. One of my favorite short walks. Be sure to see Stump House Tunnel across from the fall.

Not too great unless you hike 10 min down to the base of the falls. Then you have a great view and it's a 4 star waterfall

I love it, I go there several times a year
great for anyone

Not shown on the map is another trail (about 1.5 mi long) that circles a small lake that is a good fishing spot for bream, crappie and bass. The trailhead is across the road from the parking area (look for two tall pine trees, the trail goes between them) There is also a spur trail from the lake trail that takes you to the park where there are two buildings from the 18th century that were part of a defensive outpost against the Cherokee and Creek tribes that were in the area.

No trail to the bottom, but if you don't mind a little climbing back up it's well worth the view from the bottom. Also, at the top of the falls is a ledge where you can climb under the falls. It's an amazing view. Look up the history of the falls, it makes the trip even better!

This one is very adventurous mountain climbing but fun got to be careful about rattlesnakes

Very well maintained, easy route to follow. Great for beginners

There is no "trail" to get to the bottom of the falls. Just a steep and tricky descent. Well worth the vantage point if you can safely manuver your way down. There are hiking trails all around that are well maintained. Only did the yellow trail, which is not a loop trail. Made it 2.2 miles in before turning back. Passes one of the small tunnels which is accessable if you crawl through the narrow opening. Once in you can stand up. Stumphouse tunnel, just a short hike from the falls is pretty unique. To be inside a tunnel that miners worked during the civil war was is quite the experience. New to hiking but i recommend this place.

Awesome trail, easy to hike and historic

We drove all the way to this park and the falls view was closed . The trails by it were open with no view of the falls. Passed on the trip

Good for hot summer days with kids. very quick walk to the falls, and a short climb down to the base where everyone can cool off. It does get crowded during season time, though.

Not a lot to see on this hike. The waterfall is right at the beginning and stumphouse mountain is cool. But the hike itself is not very scenic. Plus we had ticks on us during and after the hike. Not sure I would do the hike again but would go see waterfall and stumphouse tunnel again.

Good hike, and you have the potential to see multiple waterfalls. However the waterfall in this hike is more scenic than the other one.
