start your hike at Chimney top gap for a decent uphill hike to get to the summit overlook. Most sites have the trailhead starting at the summit.

Went there last week. Awesome and difficult hike. Headed back in June. I didn't bring my camera as it was supposed to rain. Did it in 3 days.

Nice trail, well maintained and blazed. Like many others have said, it’s more on the moderate side. The hike back has most of the elevation change. Anyways, wonderful hike in and out. The waterfall is very nice and the scenery while walking through the gorge is pretty awesome.

The reward at the end is definitely worth the hike! My children (ages 6-13) and I completed this in November. I would give this a "moderate" instead of difficult rating for anyone who hikes even as little as bi-monthly.

Great trail. One of the best I’ve done yet!! Trail had a lot of great views, waterfalls, and much more. If you do this make sure you take plenty of protein to help your muscles recovery from all the climbing you will do. This only took us about a day and half. We ventured a little off course to get the overview of table rock as well.

We really enjoyed this trail! However, I would say it is more moderate than hard. Beautiful view of the waterfall at the end. The side trail to the right gives a lovely view of the river.

Great trail. It should be noted that there are no campsites in Table rock state park and it is against park rules to camp along the trail, so plan on doing the whole loop without stopping? We went in January and completed this in three days and two nights. We saw about twelve day hikers and I have been told that TBRSP is very crowded during the peak season. There is evidence of a previous forest fire throughout this whole trail. There are lots of rock caves. Water is not an issue except along the ridge trail.

Nice hike on well-maintained trail. The Narrows are really amazing once you are down there. There's a viewing deck but also a trail before the deck (going the opposite way) that takes you down to the creek and another waterfall below. Really looking forward to coming back in the summer.

Tough hike but fun and challenging. Not much to see along the way but great to see the view at the top of Sassafras Mtn. Did this hike in mid September.

Amazing the falls being so narrow to see the beauty of large or narrow falls are all amazing.

This was a great hike and not as difficult as rated. Anyone in reasonable shape can do this. The distance was exactly as stated according to our GPS. The Narrows are not to be missed! Beautiful! There is a spur to the left of the sign just as you get to the narrows that will take you down to the water for a perfect place to cool off and rest. The spur is about a 2 minute walk off the main trail. There is not much to see along the way, but the end is worth it. Walking out was not hard as the climb is short, then it levels off and you are back to the parking lot before you know it! I would go again for sure!! Maybe in winter to get a better view!

Excellent hike. Love the falls at the narrows

Nice trail. A little tough coming back up out of the gorge. Beautiful

Easy trail, but as of May 28th, 2017 a big tree is down and blocking the path. It's more than a little sketchy, but doable.

Absolutely beautiful narrows and falls at the end of this trail. Easy hike in, moderate hike slightly uphill back. The mileage listed is total, there and back. I wouldn't call this a hard hike. Go after a heavy rain like I did for gorgeous scenery.

great trail today (2/4/17). After a short walk from the parking lot we were easily able to follow the yellow blazes down to the narrows. Saw a few people along the way. Looking forward to exploring more of this area.

The trail is an out and back not a loop that i found, The trail is 5.4 miles out and back from what the sign says, my fit bit says it is 3.8. From the parking lot you must walk up the road a little bit to get to the trail. The trail is well maintained and has a lot of elevation changes.
