Cool little tail with some awesome rock formations to have fun on. Great for a quick walk, unsure why this is moderate --it certainly should be marked as easy. The trailhead is very unclear and has two main entry points that are simply marked by wooden road pillars. Use the GPS for directions, it could be easy to miss.

This trail is in forest and leads uphill to an interesting group of huge boulders, one of which is perched atop the others. A revolutionary war battle was fought nearby on August 6, 1780, and a single plaque on one boulder commemorates the action. It can be very tricky moving on steep paths through that nest of boulders, and probably best to have both hands free to walk at that location. The remainder of the trail follows the high bluff over the rushing stream, Hanging Rock Creek, generally downhill to the road. The return trip can be made on the other side of the boulders. A very interesting walk.

Not really a hike, but a short stroll. The area has large rocks and a small stream. Good area for a picnic if you have the inclination.
