Easy-moderate hike. The falls weren’t anything too special. Very well maintained and blazed trail.

very little access to branches or creeks for dogs to drink from. bring extra water for them

Great hike with a really nice view. Lots of mountain laurel and rhododendron blooms as well as poison ivy. This short trail will give you a nice little workout but is not too strenuous.

Great trail. We did it on a Saturday in mid May during the Coronavirus deal. There wasn't an open parking spot at the trailhead so we hiked in at the first service road. We saw just a handful of people on the hike, and they were mostly near the river. I started the recording late and it measured 7.5 miles. I think we hiked just over 8 miles.

Once you realize where you need to go... this is a moderate hiking trail.. do not recommend dogs... bu if you can make it down the waterfall... there is a great swimming hole for teens

Short trail with a pretty view of the river. I would only recommend for experienced hikers as some of the trail is technical. Definitely overgrown and muddy in some places but not too difficult to navigate. We brought out 27lb dog and he had to be lifted over things a few times, but otherwise did fine.

Nice family hike and not terribly busy. Use caution entering the parking area - the paving is in rough shape and you need to take it slowly going down the hill.

This was one of the first hikes my husband and I did when we moved to the Upstate 15+ years ago. Hiked it this past weekend with our girls to get some outdoor exercise during the COVID-19 quarantine. Lots of downed trees and at times the trail disappears. Thankfully we remembered a good bit of it and were able to pick the up the trail easily! Caution advised when climbing down to stand on the rock area of the Narrows to see the falls. Trail continues Up and over the ridge where you can climb down again and see the other side of the falls. **When the water is not running high you can skirt the rock wall to see right at the Narrows, or you can opt to go up and over to the other side via trail**

Very overgrown, lots of fallen trees. One tree over the main falls blocks the view. Very short trail, but would not recommend or do again.

Well maintained and marked trail! Quiet and scenic throughout the entire trail.

The view is absolutely amazing! The trail is rated as moderate due to some steep inclines within the beginning and the end of the trail but well worth it.

Overall this is a great trail with some amazing views of the river! The trail does have some uphill section which can be challenging but they're not unbearable. If doing the loop shown on all trails, be careful to pay attention to the map! The loop shown is not marked and will continue onto another trail instead of looping back around. Rating is 4 stars due to the trail not being marked well towards the end.

Great little hike, ending up at the top of a ridge with amazing views! No waterfalls or streams to be seen but there’s a great spot to sit at the end of the trail to have drink and take in the view. Definitely a moderate hike but enjoyable.

Trail is narrow in places and close to steep banks. Beautiful views during March hike. Hike was more strenuous than I anticipated. Steep climb last 1/4 mile. There is a $5/person fee for SC state parks now. Year passes are best way to go.

Relatively flat short trail along the river. Often used by fisherman. There was one blowdown and a couple mud puddles that we side stepped. For the best view of the narrows, go to the end of the trail and carefully go down the steep bank to the rocks along the river.

This is a short trail to the falls, but it has at least a dozen downed trees and lots of overgrown brush so it was challenging. If you’re tall like me, you’re going to have to duck A LOT. The trail isn’t marked and there are a lot of campsite offshoots so I recommend having the AllTrails app open to make sure you are still on the trail, but bring pockets because you are going to need your hands free! (I slipped on the rocks twice) It’s a fun little hike, but be prepared for challenging terrain.
