Easy to moderate hike that is a little hard to find off 748 since the 748C sign is tucked away from the road. The hike down to the Chauga river is easy, but it is a good workout back up to the road. The well maintained trail starts a ways down the forestry road, so keep your eyes open for the Riley Moore Falls sign to the left of the road.Show more

The trail to the left as you go in leads to another waterfall, called "Homer Falls". It is a steep descent down there, and a fairly strenuous climb up. The main Long Creek Falls trail is not bad at all. There are fabulous falls that flow into the Chattooga River - a very beautiful place!Show more

Note that sometimes the gate to FSR is closed but you still can hike in. Follow FSR. Stay right at first clearing. The FSR ends and a narrow, overgrown trail picks up at far end of the second clearing. VERY steep as you approach falls (it's short but it's steep -- bring poles or take it slow). In full summer, trail may be hard to follow - bring a GPS or download the map before you go. Show more

This is a steep but fairly easy water access point to the Chattooga River that includes a family friendly beach and a great place to drop a kayak in!Show more
