Nice, well marked trail. Beautiful waterfalls. Stop by the beach on your way out.

Beautiful hike. Steep hill down but totally worth the hike down. nice swimming area & deff enjoyable for the whole family. Our dog loved it as well!! if you go deff take the trip all the way down to the fall. Observation deck is nice but to get the full experience go to the bottom!!! 2$ parking for a car make sure to take change lol!!

Worth the hike to the falls. Not to steep some climbing nothing to hard, our 3 year old loved it. Our dog enjoyed it as well. wear closed toe shoes very wet trail. Take water with you as well. Well maintained tail and very well marked. if you haven't been deff worth the trip!!! lots of wildlife & birds.

I know we had some bad weather come through and the trail has not been cleaned up yet. We understand that completely. however, a word of caution, we walked a little over 5 miles yesterday and found no less than 40 ticks on our 3 dogs, 2 on myself. Having had RMSF and lived, I try not to be paranoid about ticks but I will not be heading back out there till winter at a minimum. Another word of caution is the poison ivy and oak that lines both sides of the trail for miles. There is literally no escape right now. Thankful we were wise enough to wear hiking pants. Great trail for most levels just these two things that need to be considered mid-summer.

This trail is extremely steep going up and coming down. Once you get to the top, it’s fairly level but it’s hard to find the trail. The trail is covered with leaves, making it slippery. Hiking poles are a must for the decent. The waterfall is beautiful.

Great scenery with a little bit of history. The pavement is well taken care of.

fun easy walk with kids and a dog. cute little waterfall. opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. get there early to avoid people.

Did this trail with my kids and we loved it! Difficult in areas but worth it in the end!

This was my first hike on July 10th 2018 and this was great. The trail was well maintained and the scenery was beautiful.

For the most part, it’s an easy trail with a few steep incline hills

Nice trail for families and pets. Well kept and clean.

What an amazing place. Pictures cannot do justice to the scale of Rainbow Falls. Getting there is quite an uphill journey, but well worth it!!!

This is a well maintained and well marked trail. We have had some bad storms this summer, so there are a couple downed trees that you will need to maneuver. Also, it is muddy and slick in places. Young children will need to be watched carefully. There are some moderate drop offs. The stream crossings are fun and easy and add to the variety on this trail. Lots of roots, so hiking shoes are advised. Because we’ve had a lot of rain, the falls were amazing!!! All in all a really enjoyable hike.

Definitely a bit challenging with the roots and some steep terrain but 100% worth it for the beautiful waterfall!!

Took two dogs. Very narrow if your dogs haven’t been hiking then not a place for them. Wear hiking boots as it’s very narrow and muddy. Short but pretty once you get to the bottom. If you want to get wet it’s not too deep but cold.

Very convenient to Highlands or Clemson.
Nice walk through mixed hardwood forest to beautiful wide falls. Several stream crossings but trail is reasonably well-maintained.
Hiked with wife and teenage kids. Reasonably fit but not in a hurry, took approximately 50 minutes each way. We hiked in a drizzle- barely felt the rain.
Best view of the falls is across the creek so you’ll want to wade. Walking stick recommended.
Pit toilet in parking lot.

Beautiful falls. Very steep elevation over short distance. Please be in decent shape to enjoy this.

As good as it gets for a medium hike. It is very strenuous and steep, and you must traverse roots and rocks, but there are some easy inclines and declines along the way.
It was brutally hot and bug-infested the day I went. The payoff is worth it. The trail of s decently marked and maintained. Keep to the left, when in doubt, on the way up. Look up from the bottom of the falls by taking a small steep trail.
One of my favorites in SC!

I did this hike today with two I teenage girls and two dogs. This was HARD!!! I thought I was in better shApe. I’m not. I had to take many breathers, BUT it was SO worth it!!!! The falls were. Amazing. Nice cool breeze and beautiful falls. We took 3 1/2 hours.

This is no joke. The hike is beautiful and my legs felt like Jello. It was intense but I am so glad I did it! My legs hurt for three days later. haha

Great workout with a beautiful view the entire hike.

Pretty falls, but extremely muddy. Very narrow and not well defined. Not safe for dogs

Beautiful hike & fabulous falls. Really enjoyed this trail. The dog loved it too! Pass over 4-5 creeks. Well marked & well maintained.

This is one of my all time favorite trails. It’s a moderate out and back but fairly strenuous if you take the Dismal trail to make it a loop. There are a few excellent spots for picnics and swimming above the falls and the view from the suspension bridge can’t be beat. Definitely bring plenty of water and something to eat.

Stunning falls and nice trail!

First things - We did not hike the entire trail. We only hiked to Earl's Ford (it was my daughters first backpacking trip and we wanted to keep it light.

I guess I was just hoping for more highlights. We thought a lunch at Earls Ford would be nice - play in the water and then work our way back... Earls Ford is beautiful and would be a perfect picnic spot, except for the car campers and ORV folks. Lots of trash and trucks.

The trail isn't used much by hikers - we saw 1 hiker over the past 2 days. The campsites are large, but nothing too exceptional, and they seem to be spaced out ever 3 miles or so. There were a few sections with lots of horse traffic (although marked as hikers only), and the spiders are plentiful.

Nice hike...did the orange trail. A lot of up hill on this trail!

Love this trail for a quick walk in the wilderness. This is a must see for people visiting the area. Mosquitos were not too bad big bug spray is a must. Saw a few turtles, snakes, and deer on todays trip.

Some road noise at first but well marked and maintained. Some not so easy uphill and downhill parts if you are trying it with 4 children under the age of 4! Nice little waterfalls.

Very nice park! Would be more comfortable if maps were clearer or an app was interactive. It was difficult to know where I was and how much further to complete the loop. Great place to bike or run with plenty of shade!
