A bit more traveled and fairly flat and accessible. Safer trail for pets. Views of the eagles that nest on the lagoon!

Fantastic if you want a fun bike loop. Moderate if hiking. Animal wildlife is still bouncing back after hurricanes, but the blow downs have all been removed and the trail is great! Even found some chicken of the woods!

Good for birding and biking.

I did this trail for the second time yesterday and it was great. The trail is easily marked, not crowded, and beautiful the whole way.

Very nice trail and super easy. The falls are very close and the surrounding area is beautiful and fun to explore. Perfect place to picnic and play in the water in nice weather. Would definitely visit again. Look for the well marked area on the gravel road in as there are several trailheads that are close by and may be mistaken for Riley Moore.

gorgeous late December run trail.

Pretty cool trail. Took my camera and got some nice pictures. Saw deer and birds

we walk or ride this trail every year at christmas.

Nice, easy trail. Views of the lake are amazing

Easy hike! Nice “beach” area for hanging out. The falls are beautiful. Wasn’t sure about the primitive road going down to the trail head so I parked at the first pull off

The directions link took me on a wild goose chase inside of Oconee State Park. We did find a lake but we did not find any specific trail that went around the lake.

Beautiful and easy walk to beach. Plan trip according to tide flow.

nice well marked trails

hike/ trail run combo great views and trails

I didn’t believe places like such existed! I only thought they were in movies! One of the most beautiful place I’ve been! Walk out into that marsh! Walk that boardwalk! Take your kids there! Just stand, be quiet and enjoy it! Go see Atlaya Castle too! If you look it up it says Pawlys Island but it’s in HBSP! There is also kayaking offered at the RS! Look me up to pics of Atlaya!!!

The trails were great for biking and there are also some challenging trails, if you choose to take them. The trails were very quiet with little traffic at the time I rode them. The mosquitoes could be annoying if you stopped for long on the woodland trails, but they weren’t so bad that I had to use bug spray. The beach was beautiful and there were lots of deer tracks everywhere. I did see a racoon with three pups at the lagoon.

The scenery on this hike is quite attractive and the hike going to the falls is easy. Moderate on the way back since there is a lot uphill walking. Very good hike it want to have plenty of time left in your day afterwards.

Great trail. Well marked and easy to follow. Excellent view points over seeing the lake.

Beautiful hike and easy trail.

great trail. 4x4 access road gets you a little closer. also has spots for camping

Tougher than I expected but was a good workout. Beautiful views along the lake.

There is a road if you have a truck.... that goes to the trial head... makes it a little hard till you get to the trial head.. after that it is really nice!! We really enjoyed it!! Water is nice and falls are beautiful! Must see at least once!

Absolutely every best thing about the Lowcountry. I highly recommend this Trail it is well maintained. definitely wear bug spray

The trail just reopened since Hurricane Matthew. Compared to the other trails on Hunting Island this trail feels much more "back country". It has plenty of small hills and switchbacks. I'm training to section hike the AT and really felt this was a nice entry level hiking trail. My advice is bring plenty of water, and lots of bug spray.
