Very scenic. Really enjoyable!

Even though there’s quite a bit of people that come out here, it’s still peaceful and beautiful! Most of the trail is paved, and you can feed the ducks, fish, mountain bike, take great pictures of the scenery, etc.

the trail has been redone and it makes it very friendly for families and dogs. Great stroll around the lake.

Great trail for leisure not so much for serious joggers or bikers.

Lots of wildlife around this trail

Excellent paved trail for whole family

Super easy little hike! The signs along the trail are very informative, and we learned a lot of history while doing the loop around! The waterfall was a ton of fun; definitely a great family and kid friendly hike!

Beautiful day for a walk. Had a great time.

Family had walked and biked this several times... super fun!

Nice easy trail. No one else on trail but a few people hanging out in the water near the waterfall which really isn't much of a waterfall

This is a walk, not a hike, and it's beautiful. The lake and bell tower are very picturesque. Many brides and grads have photos taken with the natural beauty as the background. White and black swans abound as well as Canada geese and their young. Frisbee golf course is on the far side. Picnic tables are plentyful, or eat in the student restaurants including a Tupelo Honey. There's a Japanese garden area too. Easy access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail. About 3 miles from downtown Travelers Rest with great restaurants including Tandem for crepes and delicious lattes. See the Furman website for details on all that's available! Do not leap across the small creek--use the bridge--I broke my wrist on a jog thinking I was a gazelle on the soggy banks... Love this walk!

Love the trail. Nice and easy for a Sunday. And the falls afterwards were a nice treat

It was ok. Not long enough.

Took my wife and two young daughters on this trail a few weeks ago. We enjoyed the messages/history lesson that were posted along the trail. Definitely need more trails like this one. We only ran into one person on the trail. The little waterfall/swimming hole near the parking lot, on the other hand, was quite busy. Overall a nice hike and educational.

Super easy, not too crowded, pretty relaxing.

look of city and wilderness great outings

We stopped here in the middle of a long drive. The kids (10 and 4) had a blast. Very easy trail but the best part by far was the little waterfall and the river. Not too crowded. Beautiful scenery.

Nice and flat, with stuff along the trail to do. Would be great for biking.

This trail winds through forest, hills and swampland. It reaches an historic battlefield of the American Revolution which is well interpreted. It is a very cool, pleasant walk. The directional signs at the loop intersection could be improved since you might find that you are going in circles before you find the way back.

I parked at Table Rock state park, hiked up the Pennacle trail 4 miles, then hopped on the foothills trail over to Sassafras Mountain. Ate a peanut butter sammich then back tracked the foothills trail to Pennacle trail, left up Pennacle then did the Ridge Trail over to the Table Rock Summit. Then back down Table Rock Trail to the parking lot. Roughly 23 miles in 9 hours. Besides my knees bothering me comming down Table Rock it was a great day.

Not fond of the fact that they paved a trail through the woods but it was relaxing hike

Beautiful view. A little challenging getting up to the trail parking area, but then again I drive a Jetta :D
Overall, beautiful view, fresh air, and great trails! Definitely need some stamina to get up some of the inclines, but so worth it!
