underrated Duluth trail. nobody from out east really knows it exists or uses it. nicely maintained, lots of birds if you are into bird watching, would be a fun place to run. Views of Lake Superior and the bay. Not crowded.

I did this trail and it is very easy because there is no elevation change. Fun things to explore along the way like old boat house structures

not bad. don't go all the way to the beginning to park. they charge you 20$. can park about a quarter mile away and walk.

Get there early if you want to park! We intended to park two cars (one at DL Bliss and one at Vikingsholm) so that we only had to hike one way but ended up doing an out and back from the DL Bliss Visitor Station. Nevertheless, it was an awesome day and the hike was a good challenge and manageable. We rented kayaks at Vikingsholm to explore the island in Emerald Bay. Views were gorgeous, water was stunning, highly recommended. Pack lunch or lots of snacks.
