Great place to walk the dogs

I only had one hour and didn’t complete the hike but I’ve already made plans to come back. Beautiful trail by the river.

good to go

I completed this hike today March 10, 2018. Started at 6:30 AM. Crisp 32 degrees but clear skies. I have been here before but today was much more challenging. Also more fun! It was a combination of 1 to 3 inches of crunchy snow, some very wet areas, and lots of small branches and trees across the trails because of the recent wet snow. I planned to do the orange trail but quickly decided to cut it shorter and do red trail which is supposed to be 6 miles. My tracker said a little over 5 which was fine. Great morning. Nice winter hiking spot.

Nice range of incline hikes with many intersecting trails so you can wander around and not get lost. Nice view from the hilltop

A little wet and a few trees down but much better than I had anticipated considering the storm.

Very nice woodland trail. A few wet/muddy spots. Well marked trails.

Nice area - don’t be afraid to follow the side trails, especially the one along the river just before the bridge.

Perfect amount of information. Kids ran from sign to sign screaming, "another clue!" I felt like I learned about & could recognize more of the wildlife. Quiet - could clearly hear bird calls.

loved it ..definetly a nice place for a hike & maybe fishing & picnic

Nothing spectacular but pleasant enough.

Very kid friendly. Took 2.5 & 5.5 year olds on red trail. They loved jumping over fallen logs and climbing over one stony stretch!

Peaceful, easy hike great for families.

Trail pretty wet from north of Old Ten Rod to Barber Trail.

GREAT place! Good moderate trails with rocks, roots, streams with bridges, good inclines (and declines), rocks formations, cairns, and historical scenery (stone walls, Farm foundations, etc).

Easier hiking trail, but nice hike. Previously reported as not well marked, but recently trail markings have been updated and we had no issue finding our way. I would definitely go back!

definitely have a plan of which trails you want to take, and take a picture of the map. it's marked clearly but a lot of the trails intersect and you can go the wrong way pretty easily. they're nice trails to walk on. some of it can get pretty hilly but for the most part it's an easy hike. there's shorter loops you can take but the full loop will take you 3-4 hours.

Took my 11 year old and baby wore my 9 month old. We did the red trail. Had a great time. Beautiful day. Would definitely rate this as a more moderate trail.

Urban hike in a park. The trail is very well marked. There is no way you’ll get lost. There are sections that are absolutely lovely. Some sections go past houses, and other sections force you onto the road. Then there are the sections where it looks like people go to party. Alcohol containers, take out food containers, broken glass, drug paraphernalia, and condom wrappers everywhere. If those sections were better maintained this would be a gem in a city setting.

I did this trail February 11, 2018.it was cool with a little drizzle and parts of the trail were icy, but it was a great trail. Beautiful scenery. Has a little bit of everything...

Well marked trail. It’s narrow and kind of boring. But good for a quick hike.

Love this place! Highly recommend it. Nice easy trails, with nice views

Beautiful trail!!

Nice paved walking path along the Narraganset Bay. Great views at sunrise or sunset, easy walk in and out.

Excellent beginner trail in an urban setting. It’s a treasure!

There are 7 miles of trails here to connect for longer hikes. Several of them are out and back. There are trail fees here to help support the land conservation and animal sanctuary. There are also no dogs allowed so wildlife isn’t scared off. Excellent spot for birders. Not much elevation, but Hanging Rock and the ridge trails can be challenging.

Absolutely beautiful views. Trails are well kept and well marked. Very little incline. There are several trails that can be connected for longer hikes.

Today we parked just over the bridge on Manchester Print Works Road off of Great Rd and walked on the paved road around Oley Pond which was a good choice as the trails looked pretty muddy. The pond loop was about 3.5 miles. Very pleasant! We look forward to hiking the trails with appropriate footwear or closer to spring.

Alot of history within these woods. from the great fire at the original Monastery itself, and the Nine Mens Misery memorial site dating back to King Phillips war.
