Went for a nice trail run here. Parked at the end of Lafayette Rd and ran to the other end of the yellow trail, then took the red-green detour on the way back. Overall, it was a great run with varied terrain. In some places, the roots and rocks required that I walk, but this was a very small portion. The canopy offered lots of shade and the trails were dry given the lack of rain. I only ran into 3 other people and a total of about 6 dogs. None of the dogs were on the leash, but that didn't bother me, as they were all well-behaved. Followed up with a double-dip cone down the road at Gray's to make it a great outing.
The main trails are relatively well-marked at intersections, although there were some other intersections with minor trails that were not. However, with a good idea of the direction I wanted to go and the All Trails app, I did just fine. Will definitely be back.

Not marked well at all. Very easy to end up on the wrong trail back to your vehicle.

dogs are ok in the offseason and usually after 5 PM in the summer

This was an okay trail! Got lost very easily with those trail markers and it was tick central. Very beautiful but probably wouldn’t go back just because of the high grass and ticks because of the dog. Super muddy points and lots of fern leaves!

great for kids, well marked

Beautiful spot for a winter walk with the dog. Well maintained well marked trails. Woods, wetlands, variety of woodland plants. Friendly people along the way.

Very kid friendly. Took 2.5 & 5.5 year olds on red trail. They loved jumping over fallen logs and climbing over one stony stretch!

Edit 3/23: Pardon Gray portion of the trails are poorly marked and poorly maintained. There is an electric fence which made it very stressful. Puppy kept eating the ubiquitous goose poop, so I kept having to scoop it out of her mouth (blech!). If you have kids or dogs, recommend using the Weetamoo Woods entrances on East Rd. or Lake Rd.

Walked the short yellow trail and followed the loop around. My boyfriend and I spotted three bufflehead sea ducks, one male and two females, on the water. On the way back to the parking lot an unidentifiable owl flew overhead. Aside from the overgrown bramble this place is a great spot to view a variety of birds.

I parked at Pardon Gray and the small lot had plenty of spots for cars. The trails were very muddy but that is to be expected this time of year. The trails were well marked with varied colored blazes.

The only downside was the paper trail map that was available at the parking area only had half the trails on it. Maybe only the Pardon Gray area and not the Weetamoo Woods trails were listed, even though they all connected. I guess I need to read up on the area to understand why.

Overall, great area to be in the woods!!

Great walk except for the many people we encountered with dogs off leash.

Green trail not blazed but most of our 9 k hike was great!

Trails are very well marked and clear. High Rock was a nice place for a little picnic lunch. Did this one in regular running sneakers, no problem. Would definitely go again.

The trail had lots of potential but was badly marked. Missing trail markers caused for a chaotic and disorienting experience. Bare patches along trees indicated where old markers once were. Possible trail marker tampering made the remaining ones untrustworthy. The trail was also poorly maintained; existing paths forked off into 3 or 4 lightly troded options without a clear indication of where primary trail continued. Trail head signage also confusing: on the map dotted lines leading to main colored trails had no color: in person colored markers instantly appeared, making us second guess our location over and over again.

Pretty trails, though lots of mosquitos on this July afternoon so take appropriate precautions. I like that the trails are relatively narrow because they feel like secret paths through the forest, but the downside is that you will brush against some plants so be careful of ticks. We didn't find any, this is just a general precaution for New England.

We saw an adult and juvenile warbler in a tree near the path just after leaving the parking lot. Not sure which variety, but very pretty.

Very much looking forward to visiting again in Fall and Winter!

It was closed off to non- tiverton residents when I went to today. Luckily there were some other close by options

I went to the woods.... ;-) favorite place to hike in RI so far. Sometimes feels like you're on parts of the AT which is awesome.

I have been going to Weetamoo since I was a kid and now go at least a couple of times a year with my family. It's a great place to hike any time of the year, but our favorite is in the Fall. Be sure to check out High Rock, it is the high point of the woods with great views.

Well marked Trails. All covered with snow and ice today. Averaged 3mph even with the snow! Plenty of marshy areas that you'll want to have waterproof shoes for spring.

good for a beginner

We hiked this trail in late October, but still enjoyed a beautiful foliage. We imagined this trail would be gorgeous in early spring and at peak leaf turning season.

The path is easy and relatively flat, although there are sections where you have to pay attention due to limbs and rocks. There is a lot of variation of foliage and scenery which kept it interesting and delightful. Would definitely do this again when where in the mood for a light afternoon walk.

Our bonus: when we arrived at the car, I almost missed that there was a frog hiding in the well of our rear tire! We scooched it along with a twig into safety. Check out the photo.

Great Trail....Very buggy! Aside from that the trail is a must hike.

If you come for this walk, and still have the energy... Head from here to Fort Barton!

Very buggy even with bug spray. Easy walk.

I love that I can come here for a short or long hike and it never feels too crowded. All the trails are well-kept, marked and dog-friendly. Only con is that it's pretty buggy, bring repellent!
