I'd give this 2.5 stars. I know i'm going against the grain with my opinion, but unless you have young children or you're looking for a long easy-moderate hike I would look for another trail. The first loop was ok nice with foundations, streams, and foot bridges to admire. The second loop I spent 50% of my time trying to find the trail markers which were buried by down trees or completely overgrown sections of the trail and the other 50% slipping and sliding over rocks while swatting away swarms of bugs. There was nothing interesting to see in the second part of the loop, and I really just wanted to be done with the trail as it just seemed to drag on and on.
Also, just to note, there are signs saying No Dogs or Bikers, in case you wanted to bring either.

My husband and I hiked here on a hot Labor Day, and really enjoyed it! As others have mentioned, lots of rocks, plenty of up and downs, some interesting landmarks (cairns and table rock) and plenty of bugs. We came prepared with bug spray and happy that we did. I underestimated our water needs given it was so hot so won't do that again!

Had a great time. Trails were all marked really well. Great for a family or anyone who wants to challenge them selves a little bit and have some fun

Nice but buggy!

Great workout with inclines and stepping over rocks and such. Would definitely go back.

awesome trail, and clearly marked.

Definitely going back, next time it will be with bug spray.

Quiet, well marked trails. If you have a baby carrier I'd stick to the loop closest to Lot #1 for more. There is still a lot of downed trees in the Foster loop. If you've got some experience hiking with a pack you'll be fine.

Super enjoyable hike with cool caves and rock formations. Only leaving 4 stars because the trails need to be marked out better and the trail maps along the way need to be corrected.

I enjoyed the Carbunkle Pond Trestle Trail for mountain biking including great addition of a marked blue trail. Also good for hiking. Definitely a mogul work out. Watch for snakes and horse dung.

It isn’t immediately obvious where the marked trail starts. Once you find it, the trail is mostly nice with a few less than scenic patches.

Completed this hike on 4/28/18. A beautiful Spring Saturday morning. It's been 3 years since I've been here and I'm glad I finally made it make since my last attempt was cut short by bad weather. Great weather, no bugs yet! A really nice set of well marked trails. I did the full 6 mile "double loop" today. Some decent elevation changes but nothing crazy. Some nice ridges and ledges with views over the landscape and streams. There was a large group of friendly hikers from what seemed to be a hiking group, but other than than I only saw a few other hikers. Fun hike!

Went off the trail but still a great hike!

Nice hike! We enjoyed the variety- a few rocks, stream crossings and some verticality.
Great spring hike!

There was quite a bit of liter in and around the parking area. Also some as well a little ways into the trail. This was irritating to see. Also some of the trails felt like I was on a dirt bike track. However after that section it became much nicer and the walk along the fields and brook was good.

Nice hike but expected a bit more. I'll need to revisit in the end of spring.

Great trail but the blue blazes could have been better marked

GREAT place! Good moderate trails with rocks, roots, streams with bridges, good inclines (and declines), rocks formations, cairns, and historical scenery (stone walls, Farm foundations, etc).

Nice trail! A great workout, rocky terrain with a lot of stones and tree roots; slightly slippery after the recent rain. Beautiful creeks along some of the trails with a mini waterfall. Would love to hike this trail in the spring when there is more wildlife!

Good trail for a brisk hike.

Beautiful place to hike. Thank you Audubon Society! Blue trail loop has a nice variety of scenery and moderately difficult. Bringing the hiking poles next time.Well marked and trail maps posted in order to select the appropriate trail for you.

Absolutely awesome!! You get a little bit of everything. Heavy Woods, rock climbs, river trail, and well marked trails. The wife and I really enjoyed this trail.

Nice walking trail.

one of the best hikes I've done. The trails were well marked

Beautiful, well marked trail. We followed the orange and blue trails and plan to come back and hike the others!

There was alot of people fishing along pond and people in kayaks. Not so good for hiking although we couldnt find trail so we went around a somewhat trail along pond.. few previous camper areas that had piles of trash was awful. around pond is only 1.2 miles so we definitely didnt follow right path

Liked this park but got lost its so big
