dogs are ok in the offseason and usually after 5 PM in the summer

Great hike! Very well marked and easy to follow. There were a few areas that were overgrown but still easy to navigate. We did the HH trail today and will go back to complete the other trail in its entirety.

Warblers and sea birds so come early and bring your binoculars! Also excellent place for those who like to watch butterflies. Gorgeous sea views top it off.

I love this spot! A beautiful trail that great for anyone. Gorgeous views!

Beautiful views and well kept trails with access to the ocean and benches along the way if to take in the view.

Please wear long pants, hiking boots, long sleeves, and a hat to protect from ticks; dressed appropriately and two buggers still tried to use me as a food source.

Easy walk with beautiful views all along the coast.

This is a really easy hike any time of year. I don’t know who is rating this as “moderate!” Beautiful scenery all year round.

nice views, lots of wildlife, and lots of birds! be on the lookout for poison ivy, and there are ticks here in the summer.

Definitely going back, next time it will be with bug spray.

Great, challenging hike with very steep climbs - about 5 ups and downs before the view. Avoid when rainy as the rocks can be slick. Worth the view though!

Quiet, well marked trails. If you have a baby carrier I'd stick to the loop closest to Lot #1 for more. There is still a lot of downed trees in the Foster loop. If you've got some experience hiking with a pack you'll be fine.

Nice, peaceful walk through the woods. We didn't run into anyone else while there. This is a Wildlife Refuge, so dogs are not allowed. Trails are well marked. Lots of of roots and rocks, so watch your footing. (and don't forget the bug spray).

What a beautiful place this is! Nicely maintained trails with amazing ocean views (there are views all around directly from the trail as well as several observation platforms). SO MANY birds! I'm not a bird watcher, but I saw birds here I've never seen elsewhere in the state. The only drawbacks I can mention are that it was fairly busy, LOTS of poison ivy (so stay on the trail), and others have mentioned ticks (though I didn't encounter any). This was my first walk through a Wildlife Refuge; I think I'll now seek them out!

Nice views. Check for ticks.

Super challenging hike with nearly vertical climbs. A good workout. Like another reviewer I saw two large black snakes. This hike will be really nice in the fall!

Nice trail. Like the yellow route.

It’s alright. Tons of bug, nice views, good for beginners it was a nice hike overall.

Really nice view!

It’s easy and slowly get to be med-hard

Super enjoyable hike with cool caves and rock formations. Only leaving 4 stars because the trails need to be marked out better and the trail maps along the way need to be corrected.

This was a pretty sweet hike for RI. There’s a couple cool spots to chill for a bit. Saw a few turkey vultures and two large black snakes up in a tree, that was surprising haha.

Nice walk, enjoyable relaxing day with friends.

Great views! Clean wide trails, very well marked and maintained!

Completed this hike on 4/28/18. A beautiful Spring Saturday morning. It's been 3 years since I've been here and I'm glad I finally made it make since my last attempt was cut short by bad weather. Great weather, no bugs yet! A really nice set of well marked trails. I did the full 6 mile "double loop" today. Some decent elevation changes but nothing crazy. Some nice ridges and ledges with views over the landscape and streams. There was a large group of friendly hikers from what seemed to be a hiking group, but other than than I only saw a few other hikers. Fun hike!

This is one my favorite

amazing, challenging, and beautiful views of the pond

small, but beautiful. was there on April 20 seen a good amount of birds even though it was early before migration. birds included was Kestrel, wood duck, pine warbler, towhee. I think it will be a really good birding hot spot for the spring migrants. Beautiful pond.

Loved it, love a of climbing and views to keep the kids entertained. A bit challenging at times especially if you haven't done a lot of hiking but not too bad.

Much shorter than the 4.5 miles listed. More like 3 miles if you do the HH loop too.
