Beautiful trail through the woods but poorly marked. The entire thing is marked with blue blazes so it’s easy to get turned around and not know which section of the trail you are on.

Love this trail and the variety of terrain encountered along the way! A bit difficult to follow through the campground, but otherwise clearly marked the entire distance. It does hit asphalt for a couple small sections, but otherwise single track trail nearly the entire way.

Pleasantly surprised!

The Narragansett loop part of this trail starting on Kings factory road is a horrible mess. The trail path is not clearly marked and is extremely confusing. 2 educated hikers (myself and wife) felt lost for close to an hour trying to navigate the Narragansett loop section and were going in circles in the wrong direction because of the poorly marked signs. Did the town hire Helen Keller to map this path out? horrible...

Beautiful hike! Only complaint is the gypsy moth caterpillars took over and it was impossible to walk through 75% of the trails without being completely covered in cobwebs and caterpillars. They were everywhere!

Wonderful

If you take the time to walk slow and listen & watch well, you’ll be surprised at how much you see. I thought the trails were great

Hiked these trails on 4/7/18. Parked at the lot at approximately 930 Kings Factory Rd. There is a Kiosk there with map copies. Took the River Trail to the Narragansett Trail and then used the map to create an approximate 6 mile loop. My first time here and enjoyed the hike. Trails were dry even with recent wet weather.. Not much elevation change. Nice mixture of terrain, including wood trails, dirt/grass roads, and pastures. Some road noise in some areas of the trails. Did not see one other hiker. Nice that you can create hikes of many different distances and the trails are well marked.

Nice little beach

This is a very nice, well mapped and marked hike. There are allot of different trails here. I hiked the perimeter. There were several benches to take breaks. I recomend it.

Enjoyed the orange and white loops with the dog. Well blazed with helpful and interesting signage. Saw a few deer. Wear bright colors, area posted for bow hunting Sept-Jan.

My husband and I are novice mountain bikers and found negotiating the rocks and roots on the trail a bit difficult, but enjoyed some of the less rocky, single track portions of the trail. All and all we had a great time!

This is definitely a quiet trail. It was well marked and taken care of. My only problem were the ridiculous amount of ticks out there. It wasn’t until halfway through our hike that I noticed them on my dog. I picked maybe 15 off of him, my wife picked nearly 10 off of me. It was a fun walk, but just be aware and check yourselves when you finish.

Nice trail. Great terrain. It had rained the night before my hike so it was slick in spots. You may come across a toy lawn mower stuck in a tree about 2.5 miles in and wonder, like myself, how the hell it got there and why...lol

I did not find this preserve very exciting and the trails were overgrown and hard to follow.

Nice trails. Very well marked with easy to follow maps available on site. Varied terrain for the area and lots of big boulders for kids to climb on. I also loved the variety of trails and distances to choose from. Did the split rock trail and the moraine trail loops totaling about 2 miles with a 10, 8 and 5 year old. Didn't see anyone else the whole time.

This was an absolutely gorgeous Trail. The trail does go through some touristy areas so I would recommend going on it in the fall or winter time. The trail is a also great for a furry friend if you are in need of a hiking buddy.

This should not be rated as moderate, it should be easy! I walked this today, the trails are wide enough to drive a truck down, flat and beautifully maintained. It could be a long hike if you walk the whole thing, theres a couple of short side trails. Really nice scenery, wild life and ocean breezes, there's even a pretty decent outhouse in the lower parking lot to boot.

Nothing special but it's a pretty, easy trail to take my dog on a quick nature walk.

Easy trail for the family. There are not many site to see on it, great berry picking!

Long but fairly easy trail. Wood paths over muddy parts. Nice ledge, mushrooms, wildflowers, and pine forest. My phone recorded closer to 9 miles total, then 7.8 postings. My stated on the trail per this app so I am not sure why there is such a big difference.

We did a 5.5 mile loop with the kids (3, 11, 15... the 3 year old was in a backpack) and they did great. It took us 2 hours to go on the outside of all the loops.

Great trail

Long hike really nice in spots but a little more asphalt and dirt roads that are incorporated into the track on app than we would like it takes the fun out of it with traffic and houses. We would go back but just a couple sections of it.

Had so much fun hiking this trail with my daughter. We are excited to hike it again soon!

Think this should be described as a service road, rather than a hiking trail. On several occasions, we were scared by the sight of wild drivers speeding and traumatizing any possible wildlife along the way. We were also welcomed by an assortment of condoms and beer/ liquor bottles along the first 1/2 mile of the hike. To add on, the constant chimes of gunshots were unnerving to say the least. More warning that an active hunting season was in place would have been great as well !

Nice long hike but had us on the road about three times with our dog. Cars zipping by made me nervous. Not really looking to worry about cars when out on a hike; I could stay home for that.

Not many people on the trail. If you park at the gps location this takes you to there is a road that intersects the trail so careful if you have pups. Road looks like it hasn't been used but don't know area well enough.

Cool stones walls, 45 min away from me, side trails can be found throughout. Terrain is up and down incline the whole time which is a good workout.

Happy hiking !
