Excellent walk but can be crowded. Watch out for bikes. Some think they are road racers. Water views, marshes and birds, including ospreys, make it all worthwhile.

Beautiful bike ride right by the water. Just recently repaved. My favorite summer activity!

Trail is not one to get going fast. There are dozens of road crossings with stop signs for the trail traffic. Also, many of the walkers will walk strollers 2 abreast with no concern for approaching traffic. Even bikers will take up the whole trail and not clear until you call, "on your left. "

This is by far the most beautiful bike trail I have explored. The views are outstanding. My favorite so far!

Clean, dog and family friendly. Some water features and architecture along the nature trail.

Paved trail, walk beside traffic and fairly busy both in terms of traffic and pedestrians. You end up walking near water but not much to see here and it’s fairly boring. There are lots of areas with open space for throwing balls or playing with dogs.

Bike it, walk it, run it, it has fabulous views of upper Narragansett bay. Perfect place for a picnic. Don’t forget to take a detour through Coggleshell Farms.

The scenery from the trailhead in Bristol is amazing. A flat trail that winds through marshes, parks, and old homes.

It a beautiful park. My favorite place for morning runs or even family picnics. There is a small beach on location. Amazing place for a nice park to enjoy nature. Can be romantic, prefect for families, couples or friends.

Very nice resource in historic Bristol, RI. Part of the trail meanders through the woods but most of it is through the beautiful park. Colt Park is located on the water with many great views. Rest rooms are available and dogs on leashes are welcomed. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the many picnic tables and benches.

Beautiful views, but more of a walk than a hike. Definitely a nice place for a walk along the water of the sound & the Bay Area.

We've biked it, we've hiked it. It takes somewhat longer than 1.5 hrs to hoof it on this path, but it's a great dayhike if you're in the mood for faster-paced, more civilized walk. There are plenty of attractions and distractions to enjoy along the way, including several opportunities for snacks and ice cream! When my grandson and I are "in training" for an upcoming AT section hike, daily treks of 3+ miles on this path between our respective homes are part of our schedule.

Enjoyed this with my family last year. In a word - Exceptional! Scenic, well maintained, and offers a lot to do along the way. A must do for any level of biker - especially families.

Took the wife and kids, along with the dog on his own trailer. Very safe, and easy bike trail for the whole family. Not much shade, so bring plenty of water, and keep an eye on the dog.
