POORLY MARKED. Very confusing to find the actual trail (it’s the one across from the cemetery). We couldn’t even find the rest of the trail and missed most of the trail. Definitely will have to try another trail in this area, just not this one.

This trail is more tricky than I anticipated, but, it was fun and a great work out. The terrain slowed me down so I looped back to my car via roads just for the sake of time. I was disappointed with the lack of views of the pond. Definitely wear shoes with good tread.

Trail was beautiful- it had a great view of the ocean. However, it required hiking over large, wet rocks so be prepared for this. There were also parts of the trail leading to the bay that were extremely overgrown to the point that we weren’t even sure if we were on the right trail. The loop trail is optional (you can go just to hike along the beach) but markings for such trail were unclear. **Still worth checking out and great place to explore!

this is my favorite trail! It is so kid friendly and dog friendly and light on the feet, making it accessible to almost anyone at some point on the trail.

Nice trail system, with a variety of well marked trails. The Mowry/ Weber out & back is rocky and better for hiking than trail running. Apply plenty of bug Spray as there are many biting critters. The next time I run here I am going to run all the way out of the trails onto Mountaindale Road and back to the start . It will be a nice combination of trail and road.

In-line skating review: WARNING -- there are a lot of twigs and leaves on the trail, post-Isaias. I only did 5-6 miles of the trail -- from the Mercer St. lot to Washington Rd. and back -- and many sections were clear, but there were also long stretches of debris which made skating very challenging. Leaves to slip on and twigs to knock you off your stride; impossible to avoid. But, aside from the current conditions, this is an awesome trail with lots of great views and great shade. I've only gone end-to-end once, and once past about the halfway mark, heading south, the pavement is like glass -- some of the best I've ever skated on. (Bikes and runners don't care about this, but it's huge for skaters.) It'll be nice when the 2 bridges in Barrington/Warren are back in action, but the road detours aren't too bad.

Lots of trees fell from the tropical storm - also made it buggy! In general I love this trail just picked the wrong day!

You can make this trail longer by continuing to follow the path and then jet into the woods on your left. I forgot to record using AllTrails but I added MapMyRun screenshot. It added about another 1.2miles which was nice to be walking in the woods verse under the high voltage wires.

The trail(s) are great overall. Due to restoration projects I did get a little turned around. It helped to take a photo of the trail map at the beginning of the green trailhead. Nice woods setting with some blown down trees. I look forward to exploring again!

The double loop hike (blue loop and Foster loop) has some nice variety. The Foster loop is less trafficked and is more open on the woods floor. Lots of bird activity even in the middle of the day. Tropical storm Isaias the day before blew down countless branches and leaves. At the Foster loop split five downed trees obscured various trail markers and we missed the turn-off so we did the loop counterclockwise. There are groves of Chestnut oaks which aren’t that common. Pleasantly surprised how nice the whole hike was.

What a lovely spot! Well-blazed orange trail, couple of great views of the Hunt River. You’re never free of the sound of Rte. 4, but that’s ok. LOTS of butterflies, but all to fast to get a picture. I have to admit that when I reached the tip of the orange loop, I didn’t realize I wasn’t allowed to keep going outward. There are very well worn trails beyond the orange loop, but no blazes, and no indication (that I noticed) of ownership. If I hadn’t had somewhere to be, I very likely would have kept going. Now I’m very curious! Coming back, you can see a historic cemetery above the trail. I had time for a quick pic, but not time to really look in. Would definitely return!

This was the second time I’ve ever hiked. I had a great time!! Trails are nicely marked. Terrain was fine for a novice like me. Plenty of sun and shade. Not too many bugs. We only passed one other hiker.
