grew up riding and hiking on that mountain before it was a preserve. With all the damage that is going on (development) up there, I'm glad they were able to protect a part of it. THANK YOU!

Good mix of ascents with enough flats, and pretty technical for running due to rocks and tree roots but well worth a look. I’m looking forward to doing it again but without the ice next time.

Easy, nice trail!!

10.0

I ran my first trail run on here. I stuck with the red trail but ventured off on some other little side trails closer to the lake which made it a little more interesting then the regular open grass and gravel marked trail. It was beautiful and added some extra challenge. Do be scared to be adventurous. Keep the lake in view and you won’t get lost.

Excellent trails as this region goes. Clearly marked and well maintained. Each trail is its own independent loop offering easy access back to the parking area and the different trails offer varying levels of challenge. The peak offers some nice views and the Creek Trail crosses a peaceful, babbling brook. Old stone walls cross the hill and the remnants of what was to be a train station are there to explore. Happy hiking.

This was my first PA trail in the snow. I loved it. I was able to find peace, stillness, quiet, and beautiful nature not far from the city.

not a difficult trail. could use some more maps throughout the park. had to rely on the app multiple times to direct me through the tail options. not many lookouts, but a plethora of trails. will definitely be back to see the rest of what the park has to offer.

The trail markers ran slim in some places, had to use the shore as a guide.

Highs and lows, mounting biking portion, unsuspected part where the trail leads to the little cliff and had to hope off the bike and push it and carry it a bit before the trail regained its width.

Not challenging but not simple. Average. Mosquito territory.

The first few lookout points are really easily accessible, but some of the others are more of a challenge. Fun hike and beautiful views!

Good trail, perfect for hiking. Got lost afew miles in at the fire tower. Bring a map next time.

This was a nice surprise! This is a small wooded park behind the historic Bondsville Mill ruins. There is a Creek and a few trails with small foot bridges and rock steps. The ruins seem to be getting a little restoration and markers explain the history of the area.

A very quick and easy hike. Perhaps too easy. Beautiful scenery when you get to your destination.

Nice hike if you’re just looking for a long walk in the woods (not very scenic except for usual forest vegetation...no views or streams). Trail is pretty simple without much hills or rocks and would imagine gets a good amount of mountain bike traffic. The trail does get somewhat close to Firetower Rd where you can see houses which takes away from the solitude a bit. Probably more a problem in winter since the leaves would probably hide the view of neighborhood (except for one house which trail goes right by).

Decent scenic hike around lake with a couple stream crossings. Is typically muddy along most of the northern side of the lake and can be difficult to avoid getting in muck (unless cold enough to be frozen during winter). Also is probably the trail with most traffic in French Creek.

tough, but great.

Nice hike, clearly marked trail. Went with some snow on the trail and was able to get around without issue.

We went there on Sunday January 13th, the road was horrible and full of potholes, the directions were not correct, we couldn’t find the trailhead or the falls, we did trek through the woods and timber to the creek, which was beautiful with the ice, the next person to go there, please mark the trailhead with a sign or something , so others can find and enjoy!

Beautiful as ever but a bit icy. Would recommend crampons.

Not for the faint of heart! Absolutely beautiful in the winter with the icicles! If you’re looking for an easier option than the rock scramble: at the wooden sign at the bottom of the trail go up to the right. You can get to the upper falls and then go back down the same way. I don’t recommend going down the steep rocks.

We have enjoyed this trail for years. It is well kept, beautiful woods and wildlife. The lake is an added bonus for an extremely enjoyable walk..

there were some parts of the trail that got the cardio going. It branches off a lot but from what I can tell the app keeps you on track and it's well marked. you can venture off the branches to extend your hike to northern pets of the park. I saw Mountain bikes when I was on it.
