These are really pretty falls to photograph. There is private property on one side of the falls so you have to respect this. The trail down to the falls is steep and a little hairy so be careful.

Highly recommend this trail to anyone in the area looking for a peaceful hike. Slightly overgrown in some areas but overall a very nice trail. Lots of shade to keep cool. Many fishing outlets leading to creek. Beautiful scenery. I took my dog and he had a blast. Quiet & not heavily trafficked. The “Volant Shops” were so quaint & cute to check out afterwards. We will definitely be back.

Like others have said, bring bug spray!! Trail was wet in places and once it went by the river has pretty views. The trail is not marked and forks at a certain point. We took the left fork and the trail ended after the river turned a corner so I think the right fork may be the way to the 4 mile hike.

Easy hike for any skill level. Went with my kids. Nice views of the lake. However, you definitely want to bring old shoes and bug spray! The trail was very muddy in a lot of places and the mosquitos were awful farther down the trail. Next time I’ll go better prepared.

May trip. Easy walk on old railroad path beaten down by vehicle travel. Grass high in sunny areas. Saw hawk, blue heron, geese, ducks, bluebird, red wing, painted turtle, frogs, toads, chipmunks ...

Beautiful falls. There is a trail down to the base but it's very steep but manageable. Rocks in the falls are slippery so be careful. Clean water from the water company overfill across the street flowing into the stream. Great place to play in the falls on a hot day.

The trail recording goes on the opposite side of the road than the waterfall for some reason. A nice local spot, I've been going here since I was a kid. There's not much parking but the top of the waterfall is easy to get to and the little climb down to the base of the falls is very worth it. I like to go here and set up my hammock and hang for few hours.

Park by the railroad car shops in Volant, as far back as you can go to find the trailhead. The trail is an old railroad track, and covered with gravel in most sections. The trail was relatively flat with a few bends. The land on the non-river side of the trail was posted throughout, but the riverside land was available to explore and fish. There were plenty of great views of the water, I will definitely be hiking this trail again.

This trail is beautiful in the winter! The nice, flat trail makes for an easy walk in the snow with various ponds and streams along to enjoy. We crossed the road at the end of the trail when you reach the other game lands parking lot because we wanted to see Springfield Falls. We weren't sure if we were allowed to keep going because it looks like somewhat of a continuation of the trail but goes right behind people's houses, but we saw someone out sled riding with his kids and he greeted us and asked if we'd hiked this trail before, so it must be fine. Unfortunately, the trail leads to a gated small bridge over a creek that you aren't able to cross (the man I mentioned previously told us it's apparently unsafe) and the creek was fairly deep, so we couldn't continue to the falls. There may be a way to keep going along it or a shallower spot to cross, but we were just ready to turn around. In the warmer months that wouldn't be a problem regardless. A very enjoyable and scenic trail.

Nice falls. Easy to find. Steep hill to get down the base.

nice trail, several areas of standing water, most of which u can get around

Easy to access the top of the falls. A little tougher to scale down to the bottom, but worth it.

This is not a trail - it’s a state game land access cinder road. It was a nice walk. We started off old #2 road and walked to S.R. 208 once there we crossed and walked another 1/2 mile on the road to Leesburg (Springfield) Falls. A must see if you’re in the area. Follow the signs for Bruno jewelry. We were the only ones on trail - dog friendly. Take a towel though they’ll need wiped down. We saw horseshoe tracks. It’s posted for bikes and horses no motorized vehicles though

Nice trail - no blazes - I continued to Neshannock Falls. Will hike again.

Awesome waterfall! Very easy to get to. Have to be careful walking down to it though. It has been raining so the waterfall was really flowing. If you are in the area def recommend.

The terrain was easy but definitely picked a bad time to try this one. The bugs were in full force and the grass was way too high for the five year old. I am sure that this would make a great fall or winter hike but during those seasons, you would for sure want to wear orange.

Nice falls. I followed the trail down to the creek and hiked up the creek to the falls. Fun time if you don't mind getting your feet wet.

Beautiful waterfall but not much of a hike. You can climb down the hill to the bottom for better views and visit the natural water spring across the road. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area!

A very flat trail with nice views along the Neshannok Creek. Saw a bit of wildlife and some wildflowers were starting to bloom. A nice place to go for a leisurely stroll.

Mostly level hike. The trail is pretty much out in the open, so very little shade (best to do this one on a cloudy day). There are several paths off of the main one, but if you stay on the main trail you will have water on both sides of you around 1 mile in. We saw lots of deer, flowers, birds, and trees.

As others have said, not really a hike but a very pretty waterfall. Watch for bees nests as you ascend and descend into the stream.

It is a nice trail walk for anyone. It is state game land territory, so if you happen to go during season wear some bright colors to be safe. You never know what could happen. In n Out with the head and exit one in the same. several very small loops to take all leading back to the original trail a tenth of a mile from the parking area. Great scenery of PA Wetlands. Great for and 2 hour walk or trail run workout.

Nice easy hike. I liked the scenery around it. Some ponds and then a more dense wooded area. Good for a quick 2 hour workout

Schollard's Wetlands was more of a surprise than anything else. Take the trail head on the right side of the road before you find the parking lot on your left, this is the better trail. The trail features a beautiful wetland on the left with a swamp/lake on your right. With an abundance of birds and other life, it really is a scenic heaven. BIRD WATCHERS will love this area! I would recommend this for anyone, as it's better than what the typical review says! Bring bug repellant and a camera, you won't be disappointed!

A great in-and-out hike for the day. With a beautiful waterfall featuring a nice overlooks next to the jewelry store, you can walk down the creek to find some hidden gems of scenery. Beware of bugs! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get some great photography of waterfalls during the summer and fall.
