Very nice section of the LHHT. Mild variations in elevation and the shelter area is well laid out.

Nice hike for an overnight backpacking trip. Trail can be pretty muddy in wet weather, especially around Seven Springs where morons tear it up on bicycles despite the signs saying not to. The steep descent and equally steep ascent around the 6 mile mark is pretty tough.

We walked this with our Shiba, it was very dog friendly with water cool down spots for her. The old growth part that loggers didn't get to is enchanting. So different from second growth forests. Would highly recommend this trail.

best short walk a person can take!

Beautiful lake.

NOT a loop trail. When you get to the dam you can’t cross the water and have to double back. The trail the other way was a little eroded.

Great trail with beautiful views.

There is plenty of parking at trailhead. Trail is well marked and easy to follow. There are a lot of rocks on this trail. You will be stepping over/on them the entire hike. We started the hike at 8:30am and got to the shelter area around lunchtime. We ate our packed lunches in the shelter area and then headed back. It was a great day hike for November.

This is my favorite trail in Laurel Hill SP and is great in any season. The combination of creek and hemlock is peaceful and pretty. Lots of places to pause and enjoy the surroundings.

This was the most scenic of the GAP. Even with the leaves off the trees there was a lot to see. We did this section 2 days ago.

Trail is nice and level. No cell phone service at all.

Nice hike with enough elevation gains and losses to make it interesting but not too difficult. The most confusing section of the trail is when it leads out onto the top of seven springs resort. Depending on the way you are heading you will either want to look for the horse stables at the top of the parking lot or if coming from the stable area hike to the top of the resorts main lift and you will see a pond near the Foggy Goggle lodge. Follow this pond around and it will have a few signs on the other side near the condos. Planning on doing the entire LHHT sometime next year.

Hemlock is a lovely trail and it is fairly easy as mentioned by other reviewers. For a longer hike I suggest taking Hemlock and connecting to the Bobcat Trail (easily shown on the map). Two totally different but beautiful trails. Enjoy.

I have hiked this trail in every season, and I try to hike it at least once every year. There is a small stand of old growth Eastern Hemlocks at the north end of the trail, one of which is the largest hemlock I've seen outside the Pacific Northwest. The view of Laurel Hill Creek from the other end of the trail is also very nice.

A minor complaint is that I wish the trail was longer. It's such a nice hike that I don't want it to end!
