A good place to get lost in nature close to the city. Some climbs over 10% grade close to 400 feet elevation on Iron Gate. Good for hill repeats. Remember the way you go as the trails split off onto various unplanned adventures.

If you like hiking under a flight path it’s a nice hike. Please don’t throw rocks in the creek as stepping stones, it dams up the stream.

Walk dogs here.
Trail now closed about a half mile in due to water main break. Path is blocked and blow out so severe that it is not passable.

The portion of the trail that ran close to the river was very nice. Didn't care for the section that went thru the neighborhoods. Beautiful views though at Grandview. Great photo op of the City and it's bridges.

Excellent experience

Good quick trek in the city. Make sure dogs are on leash as the wildlife is plentiful in these parts.

Nice short trail, some elevation changes but an easy trail. you can extend it longer by taking different trails along it

I liked this trail. Use the app, couple tricky parts. Hunting is allowed in the park and it recommended to have some orange on you. This is not a flat trail so there will be some burn. The Bridge is out at the end by the cave but easily crossable during low water times.

Very nice trail for running and walking. Not so much for hiking, which is what I like to do. There are moderate grades which can give you a great workout. For hiking, I prefer another local trail because I am able to scale the hillside and do some climbing as well.

a really nice Trail to hike on I was pleased with the scenery the people cleanliness

Good for kids. Has a pretty step incline and looks like it would be very muddy after a rain.

Way too muddy and the bridge to Cave Trail was out

Love Riverview, great nature escape in an urban setting Nothing too difficult...

It’s a walk in the park where you can also enjoy The Frick Mansion. Great city park

No dogs and it’s a loop along route 19. It’s nice if you live in the neighborhood but don’t go out of your way.

Nice trail I love frick

Not too difficult, not too easy either. Love this trail though as it is super close to my home.

Fantastic Trail, Beautiful Forest. Many great trees flowers and wildlife. Rated 4 stars due to the trails only being marked one way. Be prepared for some wet feet as you cross the creek twice there is no foot bridge. Much easier than Hemlocks Trail. Also I recommend a stop by the Cave trail, it's not far from Meeks. https://youtu.be/9IM-0uHrHz0

I did a 6 day bikepacking trip with a friend in June and we went from Pittsburgh to DC on the GAP and C&O Tow Path. It was AMAZING! I would definitely do it again.

It was kinda muddy and had to cross through 2 shallow creeks but loved the trail. Pretty easy 2.5 mile loop

Seemed more moderate to me with some steep descents. Muddy when we were there.

Cool walk! Loved seeing the steel mill history & and seeing the goats too!

Beautiful views of the rivers and downtown Pittsburgh from way up high. Nice network of connecting trails through the woods. Some parts by the roads have some broken glass so be careful with your dogs feet if you take them.
