Explore the most popular Nature Trips trails near Philadelphia with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

A very good mix of rock, mud, slopes and flat areas. Also the orange trail takes you near the water which is a plus. Can also bike on a few of the trails here. Overall, would definitely recommend for a morning hike.

Nice trail with relatively level elevations

The curve off river was very fun to mountain bike but very steep on one the way back to my start points.

Lovely, local escape into nature.

Really lovely, scenic hike with some nice rock formations, mossy spots, great river views, and interesting bridges/stairs. Orange trail section is a lot more scenic (down by the river) than the white trail section (higher up in the woods). I was glad I was wearing hiking boots as some areas were lightly muddy or had slick rocks. A couple downed trees to crouch under and little streams to cross made it even more fun. What a treat on a 65 degree January day last weekend.

Nice way to get out of the city. We saw two deer in close proximity and it was wonderful. We tried to stick to the Gray Fox trail but just ended up walking around until we got lost and then used the AllTrails recording to find our way back.

nice mid-length trail w lots of diverse scenery. first part is quite busy. warm Jan day- counted about 20+ dogs :)

Is it the best hiking ever? No. But considering it’s proximity to the city it’s awesome. Definitely worth the trip. It’s nice to have something like this so close to the city. Be advised there is a lot of people around so if you’re looking to have the trail mostly to yourself, this isn’t the place.

Awesome trail overall! Lots of really cool things to see, especially along the river. I would rate this moderate though, there are a lot of obstacles (downed trees, crossing small streams, etc) but definitely worth it

Kid friendly and easy hike. Crowded with lots of dogs. A little muddy so wear hiking shoes!

Such a great place to get a nice hike or walk in with your dog. It’s a nice 2 mile loop, with some cut-thru trails. A gorgeous meadow, and a connection to forbidden dr. It’s officially one of my new favorite places in Philadelphia. Great spot
