This trail is popular for mountain biking. Start at Chamonix Mansion in Fairmount Park. There are three trail heads at the mansion - two to the left of the mansion and one to the right of the mansion. The one to the right actually has a temporary sign that reads Trolley Trail, but don't take this one as it the signage later on is incomplete. Take either trail head to the left of the mansion. Not much evidence of the old trolley line, but early on their is a really cool brick tunnel. Most of the rest of the way parallels a small stream and then there are twists and turns on a path that runs along side some playing fields. Trail still needs some maintenance before it becomes official.Show more

A leisurely stroll through Lorimer Park and the perimeter of Fox Chase Farm. The hike provides both a decent workout with a few short, steep hills and an opportunity to rest on one of the numerous benches along the trail. There is also a picnic area and restrooms available.Show more
