A very good mix of rock, mud, slopes and flat areas. Also the orange trail takes you near the water which is a plus. Can also bike on a few of the trails here. Overall, would definitely recommend for a morning hike.

The curve off river was very fun to mountain bike but very steep on one the way back to my start points.

Is it the best hiking ever? No. But considering it’s proximity to the city it’s awesome. Definitely worth the trip. It’s nice to have something like this so close to the city. Be advised there is a lot of people around so if you’re looking to have the trail mostly to yourself, this isn’t the place.

Kid friendly and easy hike. Crowded with lots of dogs. A little muddy so wear hiking shoes!

Did this trail today. Saw no hikers and one cyclist (a Thursday afternoon). Lots of cool old bridges and buildings. Good view of the skyline from the top of Belmont Plateau (just off the trail). Mostly easy to follow but could have some better signage. We parked on Conshohocken Ave by the River Park House Condominium (Google it) and took the short trail from the road to the Stone Arch Bridge and started the Trolley Trail there. Other users have complained about car noise and trash. This is a hike in the city. If you live in Philly you can probably get here in about twenty minutes depending on your neighborhood. It isn't the great outdoors but it's definitely worth the stroll if you live here and like exploring Philly. Here's a link to another good map with a few more details: https://myphillypark.org/app/uploads/2017/08/Trolley_Trail_Final_2017-05-252.png And someone did a good write up on the history here: https://davisshaver.com/2018/04/23/fairmount-park-trolley-trail-history-and-maps/

Very nice, challenging hike with good elevation changes. Not too much scenery, but you pass the large statue and walk along the river for a good portion of the trail. Some parts are a little difficult, so it’s probably best to avoid this trail if you are a beginner

Great trail to be on, plenty of different paths to take, not too challenging but not easy. Good spot in Philly for a nice morning hike.

This trail is pretty straight forward --- nice to be lost in the woods, very easy trail to follow. You will find all kinds of people on this trail from hikers, mountain bikers, trail runners, horse ridders, dogs etc... Some parts of the trail is wider and some parts of the trail is narrow. Good trail more on endurance side, easy, nothing too challenging, going over rocks, small wood bridges, and part of trail takes you to the flat part of creek on Forbidden Road. After completing the trail, went and had late lunch at Valley Green Inn. Very nice place for post-hike.

This trail was well marked and pretty straight forward. I also had the alltrails maps up to keep us on track! There were some challenging parts with incline, especially in the beginning but definitely doable. Be careful for bikers - the trail gets a bit narrow at spots. The bikers don't really slow down but they were all really nice when they passed by and gave us a heads up if there were more of them. Definitely nice to go in the fall with no bugs - and no overgrown plants. In addition, the scenery was really nice!
