Was first time on a hike...was a lot of fun and the trail was wooded and well marked. Nice to see water falls and we really enjoyed the yellow trail. Was moderate hills and rocky paths. Some nice historical parts along the way as well.

It is a good trial did it with my family any bike works and it was a breeze but the kids had some trouble going up the hills

Love!! Went here because it’s close to my sisters in the city but still on the way from Chalfont area. Hike was a workout and kicked my butt! (In the best way of course). I loved that it was easy enough but harder than most of my go-to trails. Will definitely be returning :) watch for the little spiders that build their web right across the trails!

I love this nearly hidden gem of a trail. You get to experience the expansive open skies as you cross the river and can meander through the woods in Lower Merion. Comfortable wooden chairs and benches are along the path and hidden on lawns tucked away for those that stray from the path. We extended down to the start of the trail in Lower Merion and then headed up the hills through Westminster Cemetery. We found that is possible to exit the cemetery through the back on a short path near a beautiful partially overgrown historic building and connect back to the trail.

Overall pretty easy with a few steep elevation changes that put it to the moderate level. Actually started running for stretches in some parts as it was so flat. Trails are well marked but the same trail tends to open in multiple directions several times on the trip making it a bit confusing. Watch out for bikers- trails are narrow and winding in some spots so it is tough to see one another coming. You can very easily make your own variations on this trail that would take you about the same distance. Only think I would avoid next time is the part where it takes you out to Summit Ave and you have to walk on the side of the road for about 1/3 of a mile. Still blows my mind that a hike like this is in Philly.

Considering it’s just a few miles outside of the city it’s an amazing place to get away and go for a 3 mile walk or so. Actually ended up going fishing one time and had a great experience. Beautiful place to visit

Flowing water, covered bridges, uncovered bridges, lots of up and down hills, small waterfalls--what's not to like! Access to multiple trails so you can control how easy/hard and can always go down to Forbidden Drive for nice easy stroll if you've had enough of trails. Not always super well marked, but hard to get truly lost. Recommend especially if in Philly or nearby.

Great trail for beginners. Beautiful place, not crowded at all. Creek and waterfall were nice.

Great experience!

What is this? No one calls it by this name. Forbidden Drive is a popular trail here.

Great view !

This is a really great trail. Has information on tons of bird species with viewing platforms. About halfway through it tells you exactly where the eagle nest is. The boardwalk over the water is a really nice touch that I haven’t come across in any other parks in the area. A lot of the park is also handicap accessible.

Great trail. Love the variety that this trail offers. Lots of uphill and downhill... I hike this trail on a regular basis with my pup.. And only issue is parking. I love this trail!

I went here for a dayhike in 2016. Easy walking, close to city.

beautiful in the winter

love this place and come here all the time! parking can be tricky at times

While the trail itself is a little short for biking (what I primarily use it for), there is a gate right off of it into the West Laurel Hill Cemetery-- a fascinating place with extensive intertwined roads and lots of the hills. The funerary architecture is amazing. There's parking right across from the gate on the trail, off Belmont and Levering Mill Road, but I usually park at the Rock Hill Rd trailhead (shares a lot with a CVS). From there, it is pretty much all up hill (slow rise, but noticeable on a bike) to Cynwyd Station and you can also turn off to do the bridge over the Schuykill.

Beautiful trails.

went for a 6.5 mile hike with a friend, amazing. we took the orange trail the whole time and there was a lot to see. very cool places to see along the river, easy/moderate path most of the way. saw old stone stairs, cool bridges. even though there was a decent amount of people there could still go awhile without seeing someone on the trail. very friendly people. only con, is the parking. really isn't a lot of parking here.

I am amazed each time I come down to Wissahickon Park. The trails are endless. Each time I am down here I find a new path to explore.

Loved this trail! It has plenty of technical features, is a beautiful area, populated enough without over crowding, and when you get tired you can walk the flat gravel path home on the other side of the creek.
I would NOT rate this as easy though.... definitely moderate. We took our 9 and 11 year olds and they were fine but we watched over them very closely.

nice nature walk, very easy.

Nice trail, needs a little more maintenance, but works for a lot in a pinch.

Really enjoyable hike. Not overly difficult except for the few hills. It's pretty up hill, flat for awhile, down hill, and then repeat. Nice varied environment

Look out for mountain bikers!!

We had a great time today at this trail. My dog was able to complete the trails and played in the water!

amazing view, dog very friendly, hiking trails that make u really want to climb up mountian. me and my pup enjoy going up the mountian and u also get to enjoy natural earth boulders made by planet earth. hiking trails literally take almost 2 days to complete unless your a runner or biker than a day but still hours to finish!! it's amazing and my first great adventure to start out. we have many more hiki g spots to try out!!

It's always beautiful along the Wissahickon.

i took a steep hill down to the covered bridge. it was a really nice trail.
