Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. During our trip the trees provided a wonderful canopy from the rain and the hot summer sun for most of it. Great trail with some exciting challenges throughout.

Nice, but not fantastic

Just hiked this today with my dog (4 month old lab). He loved it just as much as I did. Definitely recommend this trail for someone who’s looking for a beautiful hike with a slight challenge to it. One of the best in the area in my opinion!

small, lots of activities for kids. kayaking to magnolia lake

love this place

Took the Old Mill Trail from the gravel lot on Deerwood Lane to the river crossing and then through the woods to the Quarry Trail. Stopped for lunch with hammocks next to the lake and followed Quarry Trail back along the lake and back onto Old Mill Trail. Old Mill Trail was pretty muddy after a heavy rain on previous day, but manageable with waterproof hiking boots. Not a very scenic trail, but wide and well maintained. Frequent horse manure. Saw a few fishermen and other hikers, but not many. Old Mill Trail had pretty wildflowers and butterflies were abundant. Even the walk back along the lake didn’t afford many views. Nice trail, with gradual inclines, but not much to see.

Considering it’s just a few miles outside of the city it’s an amazing place to get away and go for a 3 mile walk or so. Actually ended up going fishing one time and had a great experience. Beautiful place to visit

trail running

I love running this trail. Very well marked. Difficulty level varies depending on what side you are on. Some days the run calls for steep and rocky terrain. Some days it calls for a nice flow with some rolling hills. Or run the whole thing and get the best of both worlds. Plenty of bathroom, porta potty, stops. Two thumbs up.

Great hike, lots of rocks and tree roots to keep you in your toes. A stop in the Grist mill is definitely a plus. I’m just sad that I didn’t do this hike sooner. I will definitely do it again.

Did the trail this morning with 4 kids 5 and under. All were able to make the whole trail walking on their own. It was definitely tricky in spots, and you have to be careful on the narrow spots. But it was absolutely beautiful. Multiple waterfalls along the way, interesting wildlife, and gorgeous scenery along the river the whole way. Definitely worth it!

great views, one side of trail is a little tougher than the other but great just the same

I love the paved trail around the lake. Plenty of docks to get out on the water. Trail is sometimes tight with high traffic walkers and bikers. Always beautiful photo opps. Decent nature hike trails weaving through the woods too. Plenty of geocaches to find. Be sure to check out the peace valley lavender farm across the street. They have a gift shop and lavender usually blooms in June.

The main trail by the river is nice and mostly flat. Nice scenery and easy. Rock Furnace trail is steeper and harder for biking but is very pretty. There are many mountain biking trails around the park that have really nice views from up on the hillside.

This is a very good beginners path for biking.

good variation and scenic walk with my dog.

Great hike. Deeper in the woods was a bunch of muddy spots but is drying out. Kids ages 13, 11 and 7 did the hike with no complaints! Good trail but can get turned around easily.

My husband and I have been trying different rail trails this summer. We are new to biking and so far this was on the top of the list. It's not difficult, it's shady and scenic. We're glad we tried it and will return.

Very nice
Worth the 30 min. Drive

I agree that this hike should be rated as easy. If,you are looking for a challenge, this isn't it. No elevations. However, an overall enjoyable hike and beautiful lake.

Gorgeous scenery, hike loop is short but a good workout, easy to access, close to cities.
PLEASE NOTE - very dangerous, slippery rocks (hence the creek name) next to whitewater current creek. Respect the dangers and stay on the trail.

Waterfalls along the trail and the grand vista at Worlds End makes this moderate hike memorable.

Easy terrain. A bit muddy today due to all the recent rain, but nothing terrible. Beautiful outcrop about a half mile in and the second half of the trail through the pines is beautiful.

Nice easy trail

It was absolutely beautiful, will definitely be going back..

Great hike, like lots of others said, just watch your footing. My (newly) 4 year old hiked the whole trail, with me holding her hand for most of the uneven terrain but enough space for me to walk with her. My husband had our 2 year old in a backpack carrier. She did the flatter areas at the beginning and end by both bridges. Kids loved the little waterfalls and saw a newt.

Not very scenic, but pleasant.

I loved. I go there very often.

I parked at one of the main lots for the park and fishing area. It took me awhile to find the trail entrance. Once on the trail, I was much happier!
It was an easy hike with mostly flat terrain. Any steep incline spots were visibly marked prior for all guests. There were long lasting spots of the trails without any shade. My advice would be to bring LOTS and LOTS of water for those long sunny areas!

Had a great hike on this trail, even stretched over to backend of Slippery Rock Gorge trail, another fun hike. This one has a nice trade off; while there are few uphill “pushes” one must be aware as it consistent in its embedded rocks and endless winding tree roots. Stay aware! But get yourself on this trail soon.
