With Ed, Mair, Joe. Started at parking lot at Hendricks Island and went up and over to Bulls Island in NJ to Lambertville where we ate breakfast. After breakfast walked over to New Hope, Pa and took the towpath back to Hendricks Island Parking Lot.

7.5 x2 only recorded way back, road around Trenton for about .5mi

Great hiking with kids as they have things for them to do along the way. Beautifully maintained trails. Wish they allowed dogs but totally get why they do not.

Straight track, following the canal. Sometimes pleasant, passing near pretty houses but sometimes ordinary, with the big road on the other side of the canal.

The coordinates don't take you to the path but to an off ramp of the highway

A bit confusing if you start at Bowman tower parking. Not difficult

Just plain awesome

Be prepared for $6 to enter the wildflower Preserve and $7 if you want to climb the tower. This was a great hike, but I would probably call it moderate. The trail down is very steep and can be confusing to find, but it is a beautiful forest and we enjoyed the day very much.

Beautiful place! *No dogs allowed and there is a $6 fee

Great views of the Delaware river. I usually go from Washington’s crossing up through Lambertville to Stockton , it's about 22 miles round trip

bike this path from Washington's crossing to new hope, great trail, lots of changing scenery and different views of the Delaware river. As you're riding along, the canal is to the left and river on the right. Polite people on path, along with rest stops to relax and take in the views! Arrive in the artsy, New Hope strip (shops, pubs) to relax at an outdoor restaurant , great place to stop after your ride for a cocktail and a bite to eat before your ride back.

take the gate from the park a mile down the road makes for more strenous of walk staight up to tower with nice views at top of tower

was there on Labor Day 2017 and I really enjoyed the ride first time I ever rode this side of the Delaware River I wish there was more porta-potties along the Route. the Panthers definitely much narrower then I thought. Park Ranger police where around which is always appreciated on a personal note I think the Rangers should have a eassist recumbent trike. for health and safety reasons LOL okay I'm preference to e-assist bikes. I do wish they'd Mark the canal and other paths like they do over on the Jersey side with mile markers and signs of what's on the highway like places to go to bike up to and get something to eat but other than that it was a great ride was a great day what highly recommended to people and spend the extra time to go to the Washington Crossing Park itself which I was unable to do cuz I'm sure that's a great place to visit.

Flat ride with beautiful scenery.Just have to watch out for others when going under the bridges.Good ride...

This trail is part of the Bowman Wildflower Preserve for which there is an admission (only $6 for an adult but I was not expecting it). I followed the trail map on here up to bowmans tower and wasn't able to find the rest of the trail that's supposed to loop back around so came back down the way I went up. Great views and a good workout. Would do it again. It is not easy though.

Very nice lil path to do before or after exploring the townie vibe and brewery!

Took my 3 dogs. Nice walk.

the bike/walk path between the crossing park and lambertville is a great way to spend the day ..the path is gravel, level and easy to navigate. there are many scenic spots along the delaware river to enjoy and take a break. i advise taking the trip from washington crossing park all the way thru to Stockton...theres a lot to see and enjoy ...and if your really up for a trip go even further to Frenchtown...a beautiful way to spend the day or weekend.....the trip to Frenchtown is about 35 miles so be prepared

Great biking trail. No mountain bike required. Even trail. I like to take it through Pennsylvania and do my return trip through new jersey to make a loop. Lots of fun. Stop at the stockton general store to refuel. They also have nice restrooms. Great place for bikers to take a rest

Nice walk along creek through wildflower preserve and then up paved road to tower. You can purchase tickets to ride up tower elevator for great view of New Hope, PA and surrounding community.

Not really a hike. It is a level, gravel, multi-use trail which we typically bike rather than hike.

This is a nice, easy stroll on the canal's towpath, which is pretty flat and fairly straight, making it more of a walk than a hike, despite the length. The dogs like it. It is a multi-use trail so, especially in good weather, expect to encounter lots of walkers, dogs and bikes. The history at Washington's crossing, and the touristy bustle of New Hope add nice variety to the walk.
