Had a nice time there in the snow. Easy, enjoyable little hike w/ some cool stone features, and close ups of the waterfalls.

Tons of fun things to explore. I will definitely go back.

Nice easy hike. Both of my daughters (6 and 4 yrs old) enjoyed.

It was tough to do and an awesome challenge. But take the “scenic route” that is an off shoot of it. It adds a little bit of distance but walks along the open side of the mountain.

Parked in the parking lot and climbed. I say climbed as opposed to walked because it was quite steep and very rocky. It didn't help that there was still a little snow remaining. Once I reached the top the walk was very pleasant, relatively level, and easily marked. However, fresh logging activity near the end of the loop made it impossible to determine where the trail actually was. I ended up turning around and retracing my steps. The climb down was no picnic either, but overall this was a nice hike.

Absolute breathtaking hike! Quite a challenge with most of this hike being rocky slopes. I like to do this backwards where you hike to the falls vs. seeing the falls first. Wear shoes with good grip and slip resistant. Get there early as it gets crowded, and dont forget your cameras!!!!

You can go up a steeper spot where it’s a climbing route. Really nice place to see a great view.

We nailed it and went during the worst weather ever! but this trail is sheltered somewhat and the rain/fog didn't effect us much! Made the colors pop in our pictures too :) Eat at the Rickett's Glenn Hotel...YUMMO! Get the potato thing - it was delicious!

Just hiked this trail with my buddy yesterday (3/14/2018)-(3/15/2018) and man it was a tough one for sure. We planned on camping two nights but there was a lot more snow on the ground than we anticipated. The snow averaged anywhere from 5-9 inches throughout the trail. Wednesday we walked in roughly 5 miles and camped by the Iron Bridge after parking off of 220. There were three campsites and they were all really nice with stone fire pits! We woke up pretty cold to the weather in the teens and the wind blowing which we were expecting but once we got hiking we were fine. We made great time along the LT even in the snow because it was really well marked with blazes on a tree almost every 10 feet. It was a little slippery at times but were were prepared so we had little issues. We made it to the visitor center in worlds end state park quite swiftly around 2pm after starting our hike around 9:30am. We decided we didn't want to stay another night on the trail so we skipped where we were going to camp and hustled back to the car. The link trail was nice but there wasn't a whole lot to look at other than the vista in the very beginning. The link was only marked maybe every 30 yards and was a bit hard to navigate especially in the snow so this is why I have given the loop 4 stars. I would definitely hike the LT again but as far as the link goes I don't think I would hike that section again. I hope this review is helpful!!!

Great trail. Love the variety that this trail offers. Lots of uphill and downhill... I hike this trail on a regular basis with my pup.. And only issue is parking. I love this trail!

Perfect for a country walk either the dog. Usually no one else there. Takes about 30 mins.

If you’re going to do this one make sure you start early. Depending on your pace it may take up to 10 hours. You see a little of everything. Thankfully not a ton of rocks like Pa’s AT.

Very entertaining trail. The sights and views are amazing and exciting. Not too many steep inclines but definitely a bit of leg work necessary! Took us about 2 hours to complete.

I like that the trail branches in so many directions so you switch up your route often. The trails are paved so it's good for when other trails get muddy or if you have a stroller. I would of gave it more stars but it can get kind of crowded in the summer.

Rails to trails type. Not really in the woods too much if you are into that. Good for nice leisurely walk along a river if you are into that.

Great hiking trail, very well maintained and beautiful views, always something new to discover. My wife and I hike from Hells Hollow parking lot to McConnell's mills and back. I don't recommend hiking it in the winter, can be very dangerous. Early spring is usually muddy and U have a couple of small run off creeks to cross over.

walking up river via Boulder rock... stop and admire the hippy art work, place is full of good vibes

Love this trail! Just for clarity, according to the NPS website, it is only the Buchanan Spur that is closed for the nesting Falcons; the rest of the trail is open.

We are visiting from Missouri staying here for the week. This was the first trail we did. It was a beautiful morning hike up the Appalachian Trail through the snow. Loved it! Great views, forest and rock outcroppings are amazing, air clear and crisp! Came back down the fire road.

Great hike with my seven year old. Will be hiking Tuscarora Trail soon!

Didn’t love this one. Went in March and not much to look at with planes flying overhead fairly often so you don’t get to much of a nature feel. Good practice for the AT though with the steep climbs.

Easy trail. Nice walk with some water features.

Great trail. Not marked well at all. We missed the turn. We walked out about a mile on a lovely trail (not the right one). We turned around and found the turn. We finished the hike. It was lovely.

I’m rating this 4 of 5 stars for the cleanliness and maintenance of this trail system. Available bathrooms are a plus. Easy, relatively flat, and good for an comfortable 4+ mile run (out and back). The trail is wide and provides room for plenty of traffic. One word of caution: on beautiful days, this trail sees a lot of activity so be mindful that certain times of the season (and times of the day) will be more populated than during the off-season.

A really nice area. My first time there today. Many trails off the main 2 1/2 mile loop. Looking forward to going back and hiking up the Monocacy Hill trail. The view at the top is supposed to be awesome!

Most of this trail is part of the horseshoe trail also. This part is clearly marked. It is nice to see a trail with no litter, unlike other nearby trails.

Great outlooks! Not too long or difficult, but some nice hills too!

Great first hike for my 6 year old daughter; not hard and enjoyable. We had fun

Hiked it liked it 3/11/18, great workout getting to the top, nice view at both Helen's Window and again at the very top. A little snowy on the back side of the knob, had to get out my micro spikes. This trail is close to home for me and will likely be one of my regulars.
