Martic, Pennsylvania Map

This could be a great short trial. But it is poorly marked. What should have been 1.7 miles ended up being 3.17 miles bc I had to do a lot of back tracking.

Went from the parking area through the preserve and then down Reeds Run, then up Brubaker’s Run to the Conestoga trail, out to House Rock overlook, back out to the road. Good hike.

Nice walk!

Ticks. Lots of ticks. Be warned, be prepared. The reforestation area has a lot of open field and wildflowers.
Scenic trail with a couple areas crossing and following the small stream. Trails weren't very well marked. Didn't complete the loop, ended up turning back half way as the trail became too overgrown with lots of thorny bushes. Did not make it to any area that overlooks the Susquehanna.

for those of you that hike this and made it to the look out did you turn right at the pink ribbons before the campsite. we had trouble finding it.

This trail was a major disappointment. First, there are only 2 parking spots for the trailhead so be prepared for that. We picked up a map that was provided at the trailhead, which was nice, but thank goodness we did. We followed the blue trail on the map and it was the most overgrown trail that I’ve ever been on. We missed one of the turns to go back over the creek were lost for a bit. Not only was the trail overgrown, it was overgrown with thorn bushes so we had to walk through thorns to remain on what was the trail. We have multiple scratches after leaving this trail. There was no view of the river. I would not recommend this trail.

It was absolutely beautiful, will definitely be going back..

Neat overlook..... trail markers were a bit less than easy to follow at times though

One of my new favorites. Didn’t run into anyone else, loop was well marked, and lots of birds and deer. Lake is really cool when frozen over, too. Awesome hike.

An interesting little place. Not the best location for hiking, but still fun. A probably a good place to hike with kids.

This is a wonderful, tranquil, and quiet trail with usually little traffic. I great place for bird watching. It is not a long trail.

A nice trail to run as a rest day from more challenging elevation and mileage, still technical in terms of rocks & roots. Very pretty, lake views the entire time and lots of wildlife (cranes, turtles, deer, etc)

By far my favorite 3.5 mile trail run! it has challenging heavy rooted areas, rocky terrain, and smooth narrow dirt trails. I find it best to park at the top parking lot and start by running over the red bridge. Also there's many more trails at muddy run... After you go over the 2nd bridge instead of turning left in the woods go strait up the hill.

yellow trail was a bit hard to find but once on it was a good 2 hour hike. very rough terrain hike around the lake.

you can access the start either by going to the parking lot with the snack shop and following the lake till you see the start point or go to the visitor building and walk across the roped off bridge at the end of the parking lot.
