Great bike ride

I LOVE IT

I did the Mt. Gretna to Lebanon section yesterday. It was lovely, with a variety of scenery (forest, farm, urban) and terrain (paved, crushed stone, little bit uneven at Gretna). The Cornwall area is especially beautiful. Nice bike ride (hybrid).

Great trail for gravel grinding. Easy 2 mi climb on a slight incline. Paved but mostly covered in gravel. Family friendly, very wide trail so easy to pass at higher speeds. I was pulling my daughter in her bike trailer goin about 18-19 and passing without issue.

It was a really flat and easy to walk trail, right along side a road. Not a trail for photographing though. Lots of trees, but didn't see hardly any flowers or other colors than green. Turned around after 2 miles in so maybe if I would have continued. Great trail for bike riding though.

Great trail. Well maintained. Great for biking and hiking.

Nice trail. I will ride again soon.

Beautiful fall morning - intended to climb Governor Dick but it was way too crowded. Found this and it was beautiful. Mostly packed gravel, macadam in spots. We walked, next time we will bring our bikes.

Love this and use it a lot for biking, walking and running.

very peaceful

Awesome trail for biking.

Pretty fun! Easy to follow with map.. You won't get lost!!

Beautiful, nicely maintained route. If you start from Cornwall, uphill is first

It was mostly flat and wide. We liked the wooded areas. It was a enjoyable & relaxing ride. We loved that we get off trail and get food and ice cream at the Jigger Shop.

As this is a Rails to Trails trail, it is very wide, mostly paved (crushed, packed gravel where it isn't), and has very little elevation change. The Lebanon "half" of the trail is wider and better maintained than the Conewago side. Benched are plentiful from the 8th St trail head in Lebanon to Lawn Village at the Dauphin County line. After that point, the only benches are near the trail head in Londonderry Township.

I hiked the combined Lebanon Valley-Conewago Recreation Trail, spending the night in the state game lands. Plenty of wild onions to add to your dinner (May 9, 2015). The trail is more suited to biking and jogging but still is worth a hike if you want an easy workup to something bigger. The two trails together total 18.9 miles.

Bikers and joggers alike gave a wide berth while passing.

Note: Both online and trail-side maps are NOT orientated in the traditional north at the top of the page.
