Excellent trails as this region goes. Clearly marked and well maintained. Each trail is its own independent loop offering easy access back to the parking area and the different trails offer varying levels of challenge. The peak offers some nice views and the Creek Trail crosses a peaceful, babbling brook. Old stone walls cross the hill and the remnants of what was to be a train station are there to explore. Happy hiking.

not a difficult trail. could use some more maps throughout the park. had to rely on the app multiple times to direct me through the tail options. not many lookouts, but a plethora of trails. will definitely be back to see the rest of what the park has to offer.

The trail markers ran slim in some places, had to use the shore as a guide.

Highs and lows, mounting biking portion, unsuspected part where the trail leads to the little cliff and had to hope off the bike and push it and carry it a bit before the trail regained its width.

Not challenging but not simple. Average. Mosquito territory.

My favorite hometown hiking place!

A very quick and easy hike. Perhaps too easy. Beautiful scenery when you get to your destination.

Decent scenic hike around lake with a couple stream crossings. Is typically muddy along most of the northern side of the lake and can be difficult to avoid getting in muck (unless cold enough to be frozen during winter). Also is probably the trail with most traffic in French Creek.

Nice hike, clearly marked trail. Went with some snow on the trail and was able to get around without issue.

We went there on Sunday January 13th, the road was horrible and full of potholes, the directions were not correct, we couldn’t find the trailhead or the falls, we did trek through the woods and timber to the creek, which was beautiful with the ice, the next person to go there, please mark the trailhead with a sign or something , so others can find and enjoy!

We have enjoyed this trail for years. It is well kept, beautiful woods and wildlife. The lake is an added bonus for an extremely enjoyable walk..

there were some parts of the trail that got the cardio going. It branches off a lot but from what I can tell the app keeps you on track and it's well marked. you can venture off the branches to extend your hike to northern pets of the park. I saw Mountain bikes when I was on it.

Very nice trail, well marked. joins up with be at Allegheny passage, take that and wander around the fern trails. Not very strenuous and Cucumber Falls is amazing

popular trail, flat, easy, clean and safe. Roads close buy 25mph speed limit.

This starts out from the Environmental Education Center parking lot - we got a paper park map at the education building there to see all trails. This one follows a pretty stream for a little bit then crosses a bridge over to the other side. The trail has some uphill areas, but not super strenuous, then passes through a large area of maple trees where they were tapping for syrup. This trail would be very beautiful during the spring when apparently there are a lot of wildflowers in bloom along the trail. There are many loop options to make shorter hikes - good for children or elderly.

Great hike, A dusting of snow at the base and 1-2" on the shady side of the top. Upper 20s and mostly sunny. We did the loop counter clockwise without taking the spur to the lean to. 3.9 miles according to the GPS. We only saw one other pair with their dog. Numerous animal tracks in the snow. We might not have needed them but we used micro spikes on the way down and it made more secure footing.

Beautiful section of the trail. Family friendly

Easy/moderate depending on the weather. Great views of rural PA

Worth the ride.

Stopped on a winter day. Trail short but very icy. The waterfall tumbles over and under the huge rocks. Probably hard to see in mid summer.
