The beginning of the trail is not easy to navigate because of overgrowth. We had to cross a small creek that was about a foot deep with no option but to get into the water. After this the trail was easy to find and full of laurel and rhododendrons however the uphill climb became rigorous. Overall the trail was pretty but required extra effort at the onset.

Hiked on a humid Sunday evening. The trail was empty with only a few people at the falls. The trail to the falls is easy, but getting to the pools below is definitely challenging. Not sure if there’s an easier way to get to the bottom. The water is very cold but refreshing and the scenery is fantastic.

I walk my dog on this trail every weekend. Nice easy trail for my young pup. Hoping to hit harder trails as he matures. It’s nice because you can visit the nature station and trail house across the street before or after your hike. Site also has nature friendly composting toilets and wash station near the parking area. All around very nice setup.

Very nice, easy hike. No bugs, no mud, and beautiful views of the lake!

great hike along the creek. quiet calm and so much to see

Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. During our trip the trees provided a wonderful canopy from the rain and the hot summer sun for most of it. Great trail with some exciting challenges throughout.

July 2018 - the two large bridges (Martic Forge and Safe Harbor) are not passable. You cannot ride this trail end to end.

We take our dog down there all the time since it’s in our neighborhood. My sister took her senior pictures there too. Easy walk, would not recommend biking. Fun to play in the falls

Pressed gravel trail that may be better ridden on a mountain bike . Safe ride, away from traffic, until the canal towpath ended at New Hope. A short ride on a busy stretch of road that is shared with motorist lead back to the trail. Beautiful ride filled historical markers and 19 th century technology.

Nice scenic walk with beautiful waterfalls along the trails. It is a little congested but was an enjoyable walk. A lot of great photo opportunities.

Great advice, thank you Jim Walla! I walked the Yellow and some grey trails with my wife and kids (9 & 7) - the sections across the fields are hot in the sun, but large amounts of the Yellow trail are in the forest.
It’s not the most exciting hiking (no changes in elevation, or peak to climb to) but some nice scenery and wildlife. There are two stream crossings to do on the Yellow trail, if you’re careful where you put your feet you’ll be fine, but my kids managed to get wet! All the trails are VERY well marked, and easy to navigate- no need to follow someone else’s recording on AllTrails. Kids were able to navigate fine with the paper map we picked up at the parking lot.
The Nature Playground is a lot of fun for elementary schoolers! My two mustered up enough energy for 30 mins playing even after 2hrs walking!

Great little area in a place you wouldn’t expect. There are several trails for all different levels and the Monocacy Hill trail itself is a lot more challenging than you’d expect.

Not idle for road biking. A mountain bike is more idle for this trail. Summer has too many insects out. Best ride in the fall.

Beautiful waterfalls, very easy hike. great for beginners and great scenic views. sucks you have to cough up 15 for it though...

My family of five, (6-12yr) trekked this trail and had a blast! Views were worth the steep hike to the top.

Love it! Great for kids and has a beautiful stream

love the scenery, safe, easy trail

I walked over a hr though Hibernia Park very relaxing today 7-13-18 a little buggy

Nice walk through the woods. Easy trail.

Took the trail with my dog have been there several times. Not the trail with pond.About a month ago. Huge Skeeters dive bombing my head. We got deep into woods and surprised a Coyote scared the crap outta me. I scared him off with stick but it followed us all the way out to parking lot. If you go be careful may have pups. The pine forest is cool. Saw alot of unusual tree breaks and bends. May be a Squatch area. Enjoy

I love this trail! The All Trails app needs to update info because it's more like 2 1/2 miles. You have to cross the water at a few points. They have large rocks for this. My dogs and I just walked through the streams but I've heard when the water is high the rocks get a bit slick. It's a nice shady path for most of the hike, so it's great on sunny, hot days. Alot of places to stop and get in the lake or the stream crossings. The only big negative is that you have to connect with the actual road (albeit briefly) and walk across a metal bridge. My pups were not thrilled and you would probably have to carry a smaller dog across. A few inclines but nothing major. Overall, I'll defenitly be using this trail again.

Good for family walks, dogs, and running. Stone/stone dust trails are wide and well-maintained. Mowed shoulders and dog play area are great for pets. New trail spur and bridge connects to Crossings at Conestoga Creek, so foot traffic will likely increase a lot.

Nice even, easy black path. Great for bike riding with little ones. It was a great trail to teach my daughter how to ride and stay out of the way of others. Access to the creek, makes for a lot of fun. Wear bug spray if you go to the creek!

This trail hardly qualifies as a "hike" in my book but it is still a beautiful place to visit. Great for kids. A little upstream from the main fall is a small fall with a swimming hole. My kids could have splashed in it for hours. The only real downside in my opinion that it is too developed for my preference. It is a bit crowded.

I don't know that this trail can be considered "easy." For most adults this trail isn't difficult but easy seems inaccurate. there are huge Boulder steps and you descend about 300 feet in about half a mile and then gain that in half a mile. On a hot day it can be brutal if you forget water or if you have a heart condition. It's a great trail. Beautiful! It's well worth the climb back up, but don't go into thinking it will be super easy.

This is a great trail that's well maintained. There are lots of birds in the spring and an area that's fantastic for hanging a hammock. playgrounds nearby make it a great starter trail for kids.
