Hiked with our 11, 10, and 5 year-olds, and they loved it. However, we came across several families with scared/crying/injured kids. This is NOT a hike for unpracticed families. Hiking boots, not sneakers, definitely help kids with the upward rock scrambles.

Absolutely stunning. The challenging terrain is worth the views!

challenging but worth it. not well marked. had to use gps a bit especially at the top and around the look out point. very easy to follow an interconnecting trail and find your self back on a trail you already took. red and orange markets are not clear.
falls are nice. look out at very top is really special.

Great trail Waterfalls were fantastic was a little slippery.

Very easy hike. The map will take you to an access road for hunting. You just hike down that for about a mile or so and then you'll see a path open up in the woods to your right. Then just take that path all the way to the overlook. It gets a bit tight and steep when you approach the overlook, so just be aware. Also, be wary of rattlesnakes. I saw a few sleeping under rocks on the overlook. You can also hear them while you're hiking on the path. Very very pretty view!!

Love this place. Challenging but fun

Scenic and relatively easy ride! Something we will definitely be doing again!

Beautiful trail ! It is not easy and at some areas dangerous and very treacherous . Be careful and cautious- wet and slippery spots .
All worth it though !

Cool trail. Go early to avoid encounters with other humans. :)

A great short hike with a beautiful Vista view. World's End is one of my favorites and this vista is up there. I heard a lot of rattlesnakes but did not see any. I spent about an hour on the rocks mid day. Very easy and accessible hike for all skill levels.

I loved this trail but was not for everyone. There were tons of people and one man fell and had to be rescued after trying to climb up the waterfall barefoot with no gear. The rangers said that was the 5th call in TWO DAYS there. I wore chacos and was fine but if you are unsure, wear boots. There's lots of scrambling and the rocks are wet and slippery. Once you get past the falls it's a pretty nice decent back to the parking area, much easier to keep going than to turn around and hike back out.

Very hard hike, very beautiful and worth it. I hiked it in sneakers and was okay. The beginning of the trail wasn’t marked. The trail could be very dangerous, def not for small children or large groups. I would recommend lots of water and pace yourself!

“I loved it”. “It was one of the best I’ve ever been on”. “That was a great hike”. Those were the comments from our group. Wear hiking shoes as it can be slippery and very rocky. It was a good workout, and the falls were beautiful.

I did this hike late last summer and the views were just stunning. In my opinion the best vista vantage point I've seen in Pennsylvania (Worlds End State Park, Canyon Vista is up there too) but I agree with the last reviewer. There are tons of rattlesnakes at the top. I brought my dog and was checking every few seconds. Even with being this watchful one snake snuck out about a foot behind my dog. Dog owners please beware of the real dangers of these snakes. The view is breathtaking and worth the hike but I will never be bringing my dog back there again.

Stunning view but too many rattle snakes to be able to relax. I would go back but will never take my pup there again.

A real nice trail. Park your car in Jim Thorpe and take the bus with your bike to Whit hall. Enjoy your ride at times along the Lehigh river back to the town of J Thorpe. Once back reward yourself with a late lunch in this nice little town

Beautiful climb up the falls and an amazing view of the gorge at the lookout. Follow the recommended trail here and go up the falls and down the steps. Bring plenty of water and wear shoes with good grip. Flip flops are not appropriate.

great trail.
make sure to bring proper hiking shoes and socks.
should be no problem for anyone with average health

So beautiful and well worth the crazy hike!

Great for those hot summer days! The initial climb can be pretty tricky, and the trail isn’t marked all that well, but this is a Pennsylvania classic!

I walked to far to the end of the gravel road and knew I missed the turn somewhere. We turned around and headed back to try to find the orange triangle and on our way back we seen a jeep that was parked in the same spot that lead you into the path for the lookout and did not recognize the orange triangle.. best advice is

1. park at the 2nd gate, it says no motor vehicles beyond the 1st gate.. but when you turn into the parking lot "it will say no motor behicles" but griving down the road will save you a good bit of walking( less than a mile)on the gravel road when any car can drive to the next gate. [ I wish I would if drove to the 2nd gate]

2. from the 2nd gate you walk down a slight hill decline and watch to the right of you for the orange triangle on the tree. It is small so watch for it! You will see a little foot path that leads you to the lookout! It was really muddy at the beginning of the path so be prepared.

3. beautiful site though!

Great trail. We hiked the orange trail up and hiked the blue trail down. 3.2 miles.

it was one of the best day trip we made in a long time.
spent the rest of our day walking around Jim Thorpe, a beautiful town.
definitely returning for the fall foilage

Great hike! The falls are amazing! Hiked down the trail with my 13 year old son and he was a little cautious because of the steep and VERY rocky decline. Good trail shoes are a must! No “real” path just marked rocks. Going up the falls trail or back down the falls trail is a challenge but well worth it! Be cautious if it’s wet or raining!

Love this trail. Beautiful, fun, can be a little challenging at spots for short people.

Great views here, wow! Thought this was going to be alot harder than what it actually was..(due to all the reviews here) very enjoyable hike and a great workout! Went clockwise up the falls.
If you look at Google maps before you go and plan your trip you shouldn't get lost. You can always pop on maps real quick and find your approximate location. Just follow the falls up^^^

We did this hike last minute. The trail is hard to follow at places, but the views are unbelievable. Loved that we could get right up to the falls.

Awesome trail with waterfalls. ✌

loved it beatiful and scenic
