I was in town for a wedding. Luckily our hotel was only a mile from this trail. It was perfect for the marathon training miles I needed to get in. Wish I had a long, safe, flat trail like the Hoddlebug near me.

on Whites Woods Trails

I grew up playing in these woods and on these trails and all my kids have enjoyed them as well. Easy hike, nothing harder than a few steep hills. Especially like the area we refer to as "the deep part". It's a stretch that's in between a few ridges and it is quieter and more heavily forested down through there. The entrance to "the deep part" is @ the top of the 12th St stairs and then take the trail past where the old pump was. Use and protect it, a very nice place.

This is a trail that stretches on for a couple miles. It’s mainly for biking, but walkers/runners use it, too. The difficulty is easy, but depending on how FAR you’re biking or walking, it can be more difficult.

Whites Woods is a gem of a community park in White Township, PA and shared with adjacent Indiana Borough that features several interconnecting trails that are excellent for walking, running, and mountain biking. Nice views and attractive second-growth forest. Trails connect with and extend into the neighboring Indiana University of PA College Lodge and University Farm properties, including a parcourse trail, that provide exceptional fitness opportunities for both students and resident of Indiana and White. Enjoy it now. White Township Supervisors would prefer to manage this recreational park as a working forest and regularly propose extensive and potentially catastrophic timbering plans, requiring constant vigilance from folks who use and enjoy this park.

Nice trail right out of town. Saw some wildlife and isn't like the Hoodlebug at all.

Took the Hoodlebug Trail from Rose Street to Saylor Park. It is a round trip of 20 miles. The trail is mainly level the entire way with a few small inclines.

Ske and I biked this trail all the way from Indiana to the Ghost Town Trail to grab a geocache. He had an easy time of the 20-mile round trip excursion, but I didn't know if I was going to make it. In all, it was a nice trail. Bring lots of water and a few snacks with you.

Easy family trail for walking or biking. Took our 7 and 9 year old grandsons with their bikes while we walked. Parallels a busy highway but portions are wooded with bridges over streams. The trail goes through Homer City and there is a convenience store which is nice for getting drinks and snacks.
