Not too hard. A few steep hills but nothing serious. Amazing views

Dog friendly with access to fourmile creek. The creek has some small waterfalls and the trails have some other scenic spots. I gave it 4 stars because it is heavily populated and parking is inconvenient. The parking areas are usually full. You can park on campus by getting a parking pass.

It was ok, like some have said the trails aren’t marked well.

Super easy to find off of Cooper Road or drop in from the Penn State Behrend Campus.
I rate it at a 3 because it is heavily used- which is opposite of what I am looking for when I get out into the woods.
Lots of exposed roots so when it is wet it can be quite slippery.
Nice walks along fourmile creek- which is also quite slippery as it is all shale.

This was a nice shorter hike. It follows a creek and there are a lot of little offshoot trails that bring you closer to the edge to view the creek. That being said, it is a gorge, so watch your step near the edge. Some of the lower elevation offshoots bring you right to the edge where you could have a seat and put your feet in the water. When I went in the late afternoon during the summer there were quite a few people out, which I didn’t mind because it was my first time on the trail and the offshoot trails can make it hard to follow. The start of this trail (about the first mile) is wide and well used and I saw several people with small children and even jogging strollers, so it would be a good place to bring the family if you’re visiting other Erie, PA attractions. Overall a great little jaunt.

Do this hike quite often with my dog and always enjoy it.

short Trail but beautiful.

Great trail! Nice for dogs and for bikes

Pretty short walk. Nice surrounding with the creek and view on top over the gorge. Wasn’t expecting making an ascent up a steep, rope-guided hill at the end- not the easiest.

Close to work and easy to navigate. It's nice down by the creek but the woods are just kinda OK and there was a fair amount of litter in the woods (less after I was done). Some incline but footing was fine throughout.

This can be much more than 0.7mi circuit hike if you are so inclined, but the trails are not well marked. If you cross the creek, there is another whole area where there are walking trails.
