Easy hike leading to a secluded natural spring. The park is a nice day trip about 40 min outside of the city

Good, easy trail with a nice waterfall at the end. Gets a little muddy, but would be great if you have small kids or a very very old dog. Not the hike for you if you want a challenge, but a relaxing little walk n falls.

Really easy hike. I took my mom with me, and she had no problem. The small waterfall is nice .

My daughter and I hike this in all weather. We love this trail. Nice and simple with a natural spring filtered through the rocks

Beautiful trail. Saw a coyote today 4/11/18. Did the loop starting toward the lake. Met another couple that said a little easier in that direction. After the lake has 3 hills. Not well marked in spots. Stay to left at top of first hill. Valley after, small bridge washed out. Hop a few rocks. Another fork after starting down second hill. Stay right. Easy to follow other than that. Enjoy.. We did. Used the app during the hike and it is accurate.

Easy trail. Nice walk with some water features.

A great hike. Very muddy today with all the rain, be sure to wear waterproof boots with your hike. Scenic hike along a stream! Very relaxing and easy loop!

Great trail and history. Old site of a mineral spring resort from late 1800s and early 1900s. Ppl believed the water had healing powers and came from all over to drink and bath in them.

easy afternoon trail. nice view of the small waterfall about half way down the trail as well

Short but interesting hike to the mineral springs. Varied terrain, creek crossing, some elevation gain, lots to look at.

Bearing right from the trail access at the park road and onward to the lake, Lake Trail is a nice, scenic, typical western PA walk in the woods. Once you reach beyond the lake the trail gets quite muddy, overgrown, and downright unpleasant and steep for a little while. On the Forest Trail portion of the loop, at 2.7 miles or so, you will encounter a nice fern and pine forest that is quite refreshing after the not so nice parts, so it's a good reward for traveling this loop in the lakeward direction first. I agree with the Moderate rating.

Great trail with some scenic spots. Easy hike with only 1 or 2 hills worth noting. I'd definitely recommend it!

Great hike with our 3 kids (ages 10, 6, 4)

Easy and fun

Great, short trail. Took the dogs today. It was neat and the springs and falls are cool.

Some nettles along the trail so watch for those.

If this trail is moderate, I'd hate to see hard. There were three significant climbs and the trail through the greenery that was not cut back off the trail. There were also a number of downed trees over the trail. Trail markings were a bit hard to find and this loop is a mixture of blue and white blazes, however it's tough to navigate without using the map from this app.

However it was a great overall hike with some beautiful clearings that were great for photography.

This is a great little loop trail in Raccoon State Park that leads to waterfall and a mineral spring. As of June 2017 the trail was still a little muddy in spots, had a blown down tree the park routed around, and had a few sections of overgrowth but nothing that wasn't manageable. Good hike for most people of all skill levels and younger kids alike.
