The Conewango is an amazing waterway. Above Frewsburg NY access is limited do to several sections that are blocked by dead falls and snags. That being said, even though it's muddy water this water system is one of the cleanest in the northeast. It contains a rich history as critical infrastructure by connecting Chautauqua County with Pittsburgh. You're likely to see everything from eagles to otters. The current is slow BUT extreme caution should be used around objects in the water.
