great dog walking trail or biking trail. you can access it at many places along the 21 miles. There is a coffee/snack shop near Bonniebrooke access point.

Usually a good trail but the weather really beat this trail up this year. Be careful about 5 miles out of Freeport a lot of holes.

Started in Freeport and ride five miles. Very nice trail. There are a few rough/washed out areas. Perfectly shaded by trees for miles and miles.

Nice trail for biking. I have a hybrid without shocks and it was a comfortable ride, with just a few bumpy parts in the path. Most of the trail was in the shade, so even on a sunny 90F day I wasn't too hot.

I love this trail. Starting from Butler it is a gradual incline. The trail is well maintained. I loved the turkey farm and the cows that are on the path. The bike shop is a nice place for a rest. The small waterfalls are beautiful. This is my “ go to” trail!

rutty near bonnie brook but almost towards Freeport

Love this trail for biking. You pass a turkey farm, golf course, it’s mostly in the woods, along a creek. Near the northern end is a sweet cafe/bike repair shop, but during the fall it’s only open on weekends.

Up hill both ways, yep. I recommend starting in Freeport. It is more enjoyable and more scenic along a beautiful little creek. Traffic has always been steady, but light. About 16 miles from Freeport is the Derailleur Bicycle Shop and Cafe. A good rest stop for a snack and fluids. This is a nice ride.

it's uphill both ways... LOL. but it's a great workout

Very nice trail. Biked from Freeport to Butler for about 10 miles and then back. Trail is a little rough on the bike and has done rain wash out damage. Overall a lovely, clean and well maintained trail.

The trail is well-groomed and entirely and easily rideable by bicycle, although I walked it yesterday from Freeport to Butler. The mileage markings are just a bit inconsistent and confusing, but it's essentially a 20 miles trail. (Mileage posts say on one side, for example, 4.5 but on the other 16.5, adding up to 21 miles. And, oddly, the signs are usually 1 mile apart yet are marked as XX.5 miles, never as just a whole number.) Roughly 5 miles outside of Butler there is a coffee/sweets shop on the trail, unfortunately closed as I went by, but there was also a shelter right there with large coolers of cold water to refill my nearly empty water bottles. ("Thank you"). It's slightly uphill on the way to Butler but a little hard to notice. And the gnats were annoying in the 7 or so miles nearest Butler. Might have been because it became mid-day. I intend to cover it again this weekend.

This was the most beautiful place I have biked thus far. There was a small cafe (around mile 14 or so) where we could fill up water and have a light snack-it's also a bike shop in case something goes wrong. Absolutely stunning-we will definitely be back.

Great Trail. Very well kept. Has a lot of creeks and little waterfalls to enjoy. I will warn you that it must have a very slight gradual climb to Butler. I noticed I was really slowing down but was flying on the return trip. I will be back!

I love this place. Could be a little more flat though. I would like to see some more trails branching off though.
