what a surprisingly great hike. trails are well marked, scenery is amazing, nice climbs to get your heart rate up. definitely buggy, but nothing bug spray won't cure. I got just over 3 miles in and you can add more distance by utilizing the Brandywine Creek trail. I'm definitely coming back to this spot

Had to bail on the full loop halfway through because there were so many mosquitos! So don’t forget the bug spray. Looked like a nice little park though with lots of trail options, and I’ll be going back when it isn’t bug season!

I took a 4 y/o and a 2 y/o (in a hiking carrier) and we had a great time. We stuck to the green trail mostly but took some detours. There is a rather large network of trails in this small area. All are well marked and well maintained, though some seem better for mountain biking than hiking. That said a four year old and an out of shape adult with a 40 lb pack did just fine.

if you are going to park at the Skelp Level Rd. parking lot be aware that it is not really marked from the road. It looks like an unpaved private driveway going into the woods. The only thing you'll see from the road is a 4x4 post with the street address. once you are at the lot snap a picture of the trail map and head out. Every trail intersection is marked with a numbered post with colored blazes indicating the direction of each trail.

Paved wide path, shaded. Nice scenery.

Great trail, my family enjoyed it!

we walked from the boat launch to the damn. it was slightly difficult trying to figure out where the hiking trails even were at first. we went to the parking lot by the pool and she showed us a “hiking” trail but it’s i wouldn’t really call it a hike, it was more of a path to little areas to get to the water. still beautiful scenery but i was more excited to just hike. we eventually found another spot to park on the other side of the lake and had to go through the woods to find the boat launch where you can also rent kayaks and paddle boards which was pretty awesome. we saw horses as well! but the hike it self from that boat launch to the damn was lovely, just remember to be prepared to jump to the side at any moment as paths get very small at points and bikers are riding through as well!! wear comfy shoes , they don’t necessary need to be hiking shoes as there isn’t hills and it isn’t too rocky! 5/5 because i had fun and it was beautiful! also got to eat some raspberries off the bushes! (if you don’t know what it is... don’t eat it!)

Well kept trail, beautiful hike. Not very many markings, but the map I followed helped just fine!

Easy, not stressful at all. We walked it while carrying lots of fishing equipment. There are many smaller trails that lead off of the main trail to get to the water to fish

Blue trail from West boat launch

Good workout. I'd rate it between easy to moderate. some hills. scenic.

A seemingly neglected area of this trail is the path you can straight uphill by the large power lines, if -- after parking by the covered bridge trailhead -- you make a right (instead of left) onto the continuation of the paved trail.

Follow the paved trail past a picnic area (which will be on your right), and then a cinder block storage house with porta-potty (which will be on your left) until you end up face-to-face with the large power lines that cross the area. You will see a steep gravel hill following the power line towers. Take this path straight uphill until you get to a large grassy field. You will find that although the grass is rather high, there is a stomped out path that will lead you along the right edge of the field, past one trail opening and then to a bench. I usually take the second trail opening (which is just beyond the bench) and follow it all the way down until it drops me off again on the paved trail, close to another parking lot.

Including this ALT path into your hike will add a couple extra miles of good moderate-level hiking when coupled with the Harmony Hill trail loop.

Nice wooded tail, part of the full loop was under construction and couldn't be walked near then end so we had to take alternate path

Started in downtown Downingtown. Paved around Ballfield into a residential area. On Glendale Road just before the tunnel there is a faint trail on the right-hand side. Follow that up the side of the tunnel there is a white blaze Trail, you follow that until you can see a graffiti covetable backtrack slightly to find a double Bleise follow that white trail until you come to Bradford Avenue where it joins 322 cross and continue on paved trail. Alternatively drive 322 until you come to parking lot and join trail there.

Dogs and I throughly enjoyed the trails. Not too busy considering it was Labor Day.

This was an enjoyable hike with a bunch of different colored trails. I generally tried to follow the AllTrails route, but you don't have to.

Nice flow, some upkeep needed on wooden crossings and trail could be marked a little better but overall an enjoyable ride-

A great hike on a beautiful day. I did lose track of markers for awhile on the return loop but map was a great help.

Beautiful area! I would call this an easy hike though, not moderate. The trails are not well marked, so it's easy to get off the main trail, but there is awesome scenery around so what's not to love. Hikers: Be cautious of mountain bikers. The trails are narrow and I almost got taken out by a few bikers shooting around blind corner. Mountain bikers: keep an eye out for hikers and be mindful of controlling speed around corners.

Nice wooded valley walk with well marked, mixed-use trails. The walk listed here is actually a blend of 4 intersecting loop trails - green, blue, white, yellow, and red. Easy terrain would be good for a family

This collection of trails cover several miles in a rural area between Downingtown and West Chester.
This trail allows anyone to hike, walk, jog, and bike. Providing a very easy path that is paved or many rugged and rocky trails that twist up and down the hill.
These trails are great for family, a group of people, or even a loan hiker(as I) to give you a great experience.
Expect to see wildlife every single time you go here.

Very muddy today, but great hike. The smell of honey sucks that hit you throughout your hike is wonderful.
