Not bad, lots of river crossings at first. Small part near the end that is marked private property.

There are two different ways to go. One is a fire road with a gate that takes you to a stream. The other way is just a walking trail that dead ends with no real view, it is also overgrown in some spots. We had a nice walk both ways. You can get over the stream but you might get wet. We have waterprood footwear.

Very nice trail with cool spooky old buildings. We did not come across a single other hiker during the ~2 hour hike. Important to note: there are NO TRAIL MARKINGS! Once you get past the first few stream crossings it becomes more of an obvious trail, but don’t be alarmed if you have to go through water (I think) three times before you start the rocky incline.

Beautiful trail; serene and relaxing

Moderate grade, rocky but solid footing. A few creeks to cross. Would suggest heading left along the trail when you enter from the trailhead after the creek crossing. Fun time!

This was a quick 2.3 circuit hike perfect if you just want to get out for some exercise it is a tiny bit hilly but easy. At this time of year it is mot scenic at all wildflowers in the spring and autumn colors in the fall could make it more scenic.

Bear encounter! Not a trail for beginners or young kids. We went in a group of six people; 3 men, 3 women. Medium size bear approach 2 of us on our way back from the trail while we were take a break to go #1. The bear was very near us, about 50 ft, looking straight at us. we walked away very quickly and thankfully the bear did not chase after us. I recommend bringing something to defend yourself if you decide to take this trail. You never know!

Good variety in the trail - few creek crossings. Cool ruins of old houses. Closer to 5 miles from parking lot to parking lot. Mostly shaded. Only downside is quite a few ticks.

You have cross a fairly large brook several times. I wouldn’t go after a fairly heavy rain. The trail is poorly marked once you get by the old speakeasy.

This trail is easy to moderate. It’s covered and gravel and well-maintained with only a few spots of overgrowth. I enjoyed the trail off-shoots. This trail is one you could visit over and over and still have variety. I believe this would be a great trail running loop.

I love this quiet hike, especially when it’s warm since you will get wet, crossing the creek multiple times. Folks complaining about the hike and creek crossing lack adventure. Trail isn’t marked but it is a defined trail. I love going up there with the dogs and hanging the hammock to relax and be in nature. It can be very buggy, is moderately difficult, and under canopy of trees the entire way.
