Awesome overlook! Great for a chilly fall day.

You can see the river, but otherwise not much to look at outside of the caves. Steep sections with loose rocks, a few road crossings and near several houses. Not really worth the climbing. Other sections along the river (Mason Dixon or Conestoga) are much more enjoyable.

Trail open to Safe Harbor. Closed from there to Marticville. From Marticville to Quarryville open. Gravel road. Easy ride out and back. Some spot from Marticville can be sloppy day after heavy rain.

We enjoyed this trail much more than expected. Definitely don’t go on a hot, sunny day as there is next to no shade. Lots of native plants and insects to examine; we saw many butterflies including monarchs. Star Rock overlook is amazing but very dangerous. Can’t wait to go back and explore some more!

we played in the creek and went thru the tunnel at the end. loved it!

Amazing trails with incredible views, it’s more like 15 miles though. So just be warned

Easy family friendly trail.

Beautiful series of trails.

Easy kid friendly trail with plenty of scenic views.

This is NOT a moderate trail. It’s definitely difficult and much longer than 10 miles. I clocked 9.5 and turned around before the last ascent up to the overlook. Be prepared for rough terrain in places and take plenty of water and snacks.

Good workout trail! It has a great incline, but it’s an ankle twister. I encountered only 1 small cave as I walked only that far. Skip the small trail between the Pequea Boat Ramp and the Conestoga Trail. It’s tiny, steep, spider-web strewn, poison ivy lined and it passes close to homes with dogs that you’ll disturb. Take River Hill Rd to the gate instead.

great area rocky steep at certain areas, peaceful journey and some great veiws of the river.

enjoyed the area well maintained peaceful and quite

This is a fairly easy hike, scenic which closely follows a nice creek with a lot of huge Buttonwood trees! Throughout the hike you will venture upon a nice pond. There are benches along the trail to take a break from your walk. This is a macadam/paved trail, which should be noted in the AllTrails description

Best not to go if you don’t have 4-wheel drive.

Nice trail with lots of overlooks over the Susquehanna. I would call or moderate with some difficult portions.

Great dog trail. Not too crowded. Very easy. Creek along the way for dogs

Interesting and easy trail with features like rock climbing, a hydroelectric dam and a restored caboose. Beautiful views of the Susquehanna River, though you ate separated by a chain-link fence. It ends at Safe Harbor Dam, no way through to the other side.

Not a good dog trail. Best parking is directly across gated stone road. Trail is okay. Have to be more interested in caves to enjoy

This was a cool hike! Short overgrown path was really pretty. Caves were neat! Some spot were tight to fit through, but not too bad. There was a decent amount of people exploring at the same time.

This is one of my favorite trails, lots of ups and downs, and little creeks. It was a little buggy today, but not so bad. Overall, a great day for a hike!

Very disappointed, the entrance was overgrown and unstable, the climb up is slippery and unsafe. turned around after 10 minutes and was laid up with back pain for 2 days from the steepness.
