The map shows a second crossing of the creek but in order to cross, you'd have to go through the water. We ended up crossing about a half a mile up from the original crossing. I've posted two pics showing where we crossed. Beginning and end of the hike is on the road. Overall an okay hike but it was pretty muddy a few days after a week of rain. Horses are also on the trail so watch your step!

Beautiful trails, lovely park, everyone you see is always kind and courteous. 10/10 would recommend to anybody to hike here. Great for trail runs, casual hikes, all day adventures, picnics, etc.

Sadly I see a lot of people down voting trails due to things you come across while hiking. Please consider: 1. You can cross where it says, it is a creek crossing. Wear proper shoes for your hike and enjoy! May I also suggest a water bag? 2. Wildlife was here before you, respect and admire from a distance and try to remember it is all part of a HIKING experience. 3. Yes, dogs sometimes are off leash to go swimming and/or if they are good dogos HOWEVER be mindful that not everyone you will see on the trail likes dogs. The Park Rangers are ticket happy, just a friendly reminder. 4. Avoid tickets and just park in the designated parking lots 'cause trust me, they'll get 'ya.

Enjoy nature, be respectful, use common sense, take your trash back with you and have a blast! Hope to see ya'll out there.

this would be great if you could actually cross the creek where it tells you to. There's no bridge though it looks like if the water is low enough you could cross at that point but then you have to go up an incredibly steep incline.

Perfect for my dogs. one has a bad hip. it is relatively flat without big stones on the trail and not too long.

Best trail in Evansburg, but not challenging at all and not that exciting.

This trail was beautiful and really fun. The only complaint I have is having to cross the Shippack Creek which got my feet soaked for the rest of the trail.

Great trail to go exploring with kids. Note you can not cross over the river where this shows. You have to turn back

Very hard trail to follow. A decent park though with some nice views of the creek. Ended up walking a bunch of random trails and jumping on and off the loop trail shown for this hike.

Found the horse trail incredibly difficult to follow, almost no markings and never at the many path intersections. Constantly checking my phone to make sure I was still on the trail detracted from the enjoyment of being out in nature.

Great hike and a beautiful day to start 2017. Challenging and peaceful throughout the entire year.

Definitely on the easier side. If you do the Horse trail watch out for horse turds. It was cold today so they were all frozen. Also, if you plan on doing the entire Horse trail as a loop you do have to cross a large creek which I would have done in a warmer weather. No worries, you can hike up the road to a bridge and cross the stream. It's not far and there was a very defined trail on the over side that led right back to the trail. I certainly wasn't the first to do that.

I just moved to the area so I wanted to check out the park. I wasn't able to find the actual trail until the end of my run. Once I did, I really enjoyed it. When I first started I ran on a pseudo trail around the fields. Beautiful views but no where to really go and high grass. I'll definitely go back now that I know where the actual trail is and out down some miles.

Came here with great company and has a blast. The trails were moderate, but were a ton of fun due to the small footing challenge.
There was a whole lot of horses all over the trails back in Evansburg.
The water appeared very clear and the dog had a blast putting her feet into the water.
Unfortunately, the camera had lost battery so we were unable to take any pictures...we will have to go back again because the park was stunning.

Not sure why this trail has not been reviewed because it was the first one that we set foot on due to where we parked. Was a neat little trail.

Be careful for horse poop...especially along this trial!

A quiet trail with beautiful scenery. The path gets pretty muddy when it rains so make sure you wear adequate shoes.

We liked it so much! There is hiking trail along river. It's a little bit "wild"(we lost our path couple of times) and wet, but forest is very beautiful. It took us (husband and me, 27y.o.) about 2 hours to close a trail loop, but bridge at the very end was closed, so we had to go all the way back :)
