The trail went through a really pretty wooded area. The park it’s self is also really nice. The drawback, to me, is that the trail is rather short. The loop is just about a mile long. My son and I did walk around the grassy parts of the battlefield to add in some extra mileage.

One of my favorites, especially since it's almost in my backyard. Staying on the main trail gives you about a 1 1/2 mile loop; you can get up to about 2 1/2 if you throw in some of the longer side trails. Only downside are the two road crossings - the cars travel really fast on this road, so be careful. Just a few gentle hills and a little mud when it has rained lately. There are some huge old oak trees, also a lot of mixed evergreens. The boy scouts have done a lot over many years to build and maintain these trails. All in all, a great place to get out and enjoy the day. For music, I'd recommend vintage Allman Brothers!

This area is a fantastic find. The Edge Hill Trail is a bit bigger than indicated if you follow the trail that tours the entire battlefield. Plus there are several trails across Forbes Road exploring where angry men wearing kilts with big rifles charged into equally angry natives with tomahawks and rifles of their own. If you have time, the tour of the museum and field is really good too. A little touch that I like is the small nature information plaques you'll find on the Iroquois trail. If you have a few hours on your hands then Bushy Run is a can't miss.

The sections in the woods were nice, but there was a lot of that that was just indistinct out in the grass. The signage was poor and in poor repair. It’s really not that great; I guess if you wanted a quick outing in the woods, it would be OK.

As a runner, I'd rate this trail more on the Moderate side. Much hillier than I had expected based on the course description. Well maintained trails and very nice scenery. Very little traffic.
