I would not recommend this “trail”. It is not marked or worn down in any way. I attempted to follow the GPS for a while without seeing any signs of a trail. It crossed an actual trail and we decided to take that. I do not recommend this trail.

What a nice little hike. I tracked it with my Fitbit to really be just over 3 miles as opposed to the 5.1 that this says.

Really pretty trail! Mostly well-marked trail with some really stunning rock formations. Good mix of flat wooded trails with some Little Rock scrambles in the middle. Trail got a little wet and dicey down by the creek, but we managed to make it! The big, old rock formations are like dinosaurs! Really beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful trail!

Trail marker says this is actually 5.1 KM, not miles. Otherwise nice, easy trail. Lots of roots to step over, watch your feet

This trail has a little bit of everything. I found it incredibly beautiful and can't wait to go back.

My wife and I hiked from Rte 62 to Hearts Content. If you start on 62, the parking spot is across the road from the trailhead. The first quarter mile is uphill. We didn’t have any issues in the snow. I had to search for blazes a few times but overall the trail was in good condition.

Just absolutely delightful to see old-growth white pines. Worth a special trip: this trail is so wondrously North American.

It’s a great short hike, a little over a mile, with old growth trees. Make sure you have bug spray , as the black flies were a nuisance.

We started on Toms Run (entered on the left behind map/trash cans), went till we met the Ironwood Trail, went left at Ironwood trail sign. Continued and followed Ironwood until it met up with Toms Run again and turned left on Toms Run to return to the parking lot. The diamonds on the trees keep you on track! Some muddy/swampy spots, so we just went high on the sides of those trail areas. Varied terrain with lots of creeks, ferns and pines. Our GPS gave us 6 plus miles. Our dog loved the soft trail surfaces. Note the bridges are deceiving as they are slippery from the humidity! Because of huge logs from downed trees in several spots we wouldn’t try cross country skiing there until the trails are cleared.

Beautiful May hiking day with temperatures topping off in the mid-80's. Trail was as advertised, easy pathway mostly on logging railroad grades with very little elevation changed. We added the Ironwood loop and Tanbark trail for a total of 5.3 miles. A few muddy areas, but hey... it is spring and this is PA. Deal with it. Had my brother-in-law from Montana along on this day and he was truly impressed with the quality of our eastern hardwood forest. I have to agree...

Out and back Tanbark to Tom’s Run Loop

Great old growth trees, nice easy walk, some slight up and down hill sections, well-marked trail.

Christmas Day hike! Did about 3 miles off of State Rt 3005 (6miles in and back). Pretty stone outcroppings and streams start about 2 miles in. We have also done about 1 Mile in off of rt 62 one thanksgiving. It was quite a climb and took careful footing on the way down.

Good trail, steep in places so if you have less experience you may struggle. Spectacular scenery and good times all around

Well-maintained easy quick loop with lots of old growth forest and some cute bridges. Easy hike.

love this quick hike, just the right amount of everything when in need of something quick, a little bit of uphill, but not too much.

I found this trail to be confusing. I got to a "T" in the trail and it said that i could go either left or right. I went left and the app said I was off trail. I tried right and the app said that I was hiking away from the trail. After 4 or 5 miles of backtracking I just gave up and took the tom run back to the road. Frustrating.

Arrived before 7am on a rainy day and had the trail to myself. Short and easy but beautiful and quiet. old growth trees, quaint stream crossing. Didn't encounter any wildlife.
