Trails not maintained. Beautiful area, but unusable until vegetation dies. It's a shame.

Great trail!! AMAZING view at the top! Hill leading up to the top was very tough at first! Pretty steep. I stayed at the top for a while that’s why I paused! Descent down was very easy! Easy to follow. A little muddy at some points. And LOTS of gnats. Bug spray bug spray bug spray!

Great spot to go rock climbing. Tons of poison ivy though.

We didn’t t realize that the park was a great spot for rock climbing and because of this, had skewed expectations of what the hiking might be like. Some of the trails in the woods were a decent exercise, but we were not able to appreciate all that it offered, as we were interested only in hiking.

The mountain loop trail was very scenic and worth the climb. Not very crowded either.

Great trail! Cool little water fall, and stepping stones made of old logs. Definitely recommend! My dog loved it.

Great trail for most families. Bigger kids (10+) would be able to enjoy the various water crossings that include a telephone pole and a wire bridge. Nice flat trail. Dog friendly. If you walk down the railroad tracks, you'll find a way to not have to cross the stream.

Nice trail with a bunch of options on which one to take we did a quick two mile loop. We stopped at a beautiful overlook! I definitely recommend bug spray!

It was a nice cool breezy day. Temperatures in the low 60’s. My friend and I started at Morlatton Village in Douglassville. We walk towards Rt. 724. Great hike. Nice view of the Schuylkill River. Love this part of the trail.

A good balance of easy and difficult. Depending on which trail, it can be flat and easy paced or steep and heart racing. pick your poison. Definitely good for a few hours outdoors.

Gravel has been laid down in the most muddy areas of the trail, thank goodness!

This is an easy walk along abandoned road and nice gravel paths with a lot to see. There is some up and downhill but not too bad. I parked on hay creek rd (old 82) at the dead end to the south of the quarry. There is a lot of parking available there on the shoulder of the road. This is an easy but scenic walk down the abandoned stretch of road along the creek. This road then crosses the creek at the bottom. There are gravel paths to the quarry, rock climbing, reservoir and also back up along the other side of the creek. I did not use the cables to cross the creek to get to the north side of the area but some people were using them.

A nice, easy, first hike of the season, shake off the cobwebs type of hike. A nice overlook of Birdsboro, but even at the end of March, there were three other couples within 30 feet and two other groups thru-hiked during our one hour lunch at the overlook. The loop trails had no one on them, so invest a few hiking calories to loose the crowd. None of it is difficult and there are some old iron works and quarry works structures scattered about. Yes, I’ll go again, but maybe try a different time for the summit- maybe sunset with a headlamp?

I've done this trail multiple times. I just did it again and unfortunately the wire river crossings are down. There is a log at the first crossing for now and just one cable at the second. Both crossings are able to be bypassed. If you follow the railroad tracks at the parking lot it will lead you to the first road bridge. The second just follow the stream up to a second road bridge.

Easy hike with well maintained and marked trails. Beautiful views at the peak!! Quiet and peaceful on a March morning.
