Trail was in great shape. Freshly made and perfectly keep. Well marked.

A peaceful trail, not a lot of people present. Mostly pine trees, and it is easy to tell that there was a fire in this area not too long ago, judging by the burn marks on all of the trees. There are several educational wildlife signs throughout the trek. There are actually two Big Creek Trails. This one is the South trail, but there is a North trail right next to it, if you wish to add some distance to your walk.

Beautiful hike! We saw a baby bear cross the path in front of us and run through the meadow. The hike seems like it will be difficult at first because it’s very steep but once you get past that it’s fairly moderate!

Living in Southern California, I had always wanted to do this hike, ... It did not disappoint! While this wasn’t necessarily easy, it also wasn’t too hard. Not sure if that helped. Lol. Even my 9-year-old did it!

Amazing amazing amazing. Heavily trafficked but paid off. Gorgeous view at the top.

Rock scramble was more difficult than expected. Overall, great hike. Would suggest going mid-afternoon early evening, as heat can play a factor in ones enjoyment of the hike.

This is a very simple, kid-friendly trail. I’ve come here several times just to relax and read, since it’s very low traffic. I almost never see other hikers here. Also, If you enjoy bird watching, check it out.

A must-do in Yosemite. Great falls. Way too many people.

This bike ride should be on your bucket list. It’s beautiful, all downhill, and so cool to do the tunnels and trestles. We saw a mom and baby moose at the bottom part of the trail.

Great family friendly trail all the way to the falls. Beautiful views of the creek beside the trail, luscious green trees, and meadows. Spotted mother bear with cub feasting on their catch, from a safe distance of course. Be prepared to get in the water once at the falls!

We have a penchant for hiking to the top of ski runs and taking the gondola down, so we had to tweak this trail a little. Pretty much followed the directions for this hike all the way to the lake, but then took Royal Elk to Spruce Saddle for a beer and a burger and a blessed gondola ride back to the base, but this review is for the ascent. We had the trail to ourselves nearly the entire time, and it proved to be peaceful but demanding. Pretty steep all the way to the lake, which was beautiful. Would do it again!

Very easy hike, flat and little incline. End of August little rain so all the pools weren’t filled/running however, water was nice and refreshing. Great views the entire way up and back. Careful for rattlesnakes! Bring lots of water!

Trail quality is great. Super well maintained and it’s a really nice gradient up to the lake. Due those factors, it’s also super busy. Go early.

Nice walk, you can walk through a small section of woods at the section with the cul de sac

Nice quick hike close to town. Pretty views. Kinda busy when we went but still worth it.

Went with 5 kids aging 9 to 14. Even on a hot day we had enough shade. We hiked the loop clockwise and came over the dam. Didn’t bring fishing stuff, but will come back to fish. A bit busy (Sunday), but still a very nice hike. Rangers were very friendly.

Awesome trail. Easy to get to using metro north train from nyc. We missed a trail marker and did some off-trailing for a bit but found the path again easily. Overall great day!

Nice and beautiful, but a bit overcrowded

Love this park. Great scenery, a nice little hill to get your heart rate up a little, lots of friendly people and dogs on the trail. Mostly shaded, a nice little pond full of turtles, a place for a picnic, dog friendly, what more could you want?

Yes it was very crowded but only at the bridge. Many of the people only go to take a picture but the more you hike up the less people there will be. It was a very nice hike, there were many spots to take a break with a great view. Many of the people were not wearing proper hiking shoes and seemed okay. I wore hiking boots and I’m glad I did. Make sure to take water!

Very easy hike. Because it’s so easy it is highly trafficked and often with large groups and kids. If you want it to be quieter I highly recommend getting there very early in the AM. The views are worth it.

Waterfall was more of a trickle. Great, easy trail. Pretty views if you take the cliff loop

Great views of the foothills. Water was fairly low.

Lands end is like one of the regulars. This is a popular spot so there is lots of people. It’s a little rocky at times and has lots of stairs which I like to sprint. There is beautiful scenery of the beach. This trail is a simple walk so if you want something scenic and simple I would recommend. Check it out.
