It was a great and easy hike. Trail was dry and there was plenty of room to maneuver around other people.

Why don't the reviews mention the two sections of SCREE ??! If I had known that, I would have rethought this route prior to bringing my dog. Because of the scree paths, and the steepness of it all, I would not recommend this trail to dog owners. Not to mention, there are overgrown sections I don't want my dog's face blow dozing over. So, when people mention the "rocky parts", now you know this means scree, not simply rocks on the ground. If you have good hiking shoes, this shouldn't be a big deal. I just don't recommend dogs or small children on this hike. The view? Good for morning or afternoon, and not quite as breathtaking as people make it sound if you've been to the Vista House view point.

This was a great trail. Very well travelled and a smooth path. We did this hike with our 3 year old and he was able to handle the inclines and terrain.

There’s a section that is technically closed but you can walk through.

Confusing trail...I had to use the app the entire way because it’s not well marked. Lots of people and as we wound around the lake the trail leads into a snaggy blackberry bush trail. The scenery is beautiful however.

Went clockwise, 2 days and 1 night. Loved the PCT section of this loop. The snow makes some parts a little sketchy but also creates more of an adventure. Poles are a must and I had yak tracks but the snow is wet so they didn’t help much if at all. Camped at Jack lake which was okay but very windy. Ran into bugs and not much shade from Jack lake back to the trailhead. Fun couple of days!

Amazing. You can jailer all the way to the bottom of the falls and feel the heavy mist on your face.

This trail is listed as “moderate” but I think it’s closer to “hard” because of the conditions of the trail. This trail is EXTREMELY muddy and slippery - most of the people we passed were either covered in mud or had taken off their shoes for better grip. It’s extremely easy to slip and fall. God’s Thumb and the Knoll are gorgeous views, but the climb to get to them are treacherous.

Very beautiful trail! The waterfalls were amazing! Pretty crowded and muddy/slippery though so wear good shoes, bring a face mask, and get there before 11am or earlier for parking!

Beautiful boardwalk all the way from the parking lot to the tree endpoint. Very peaceful setting with skunk cabbage wetland areas and shaded forest areas. Great family and dog-friendly walk. Highly recommend during a visit to Rockaway Beach or as a quick way to stop and stretch your legs on a trip along Highway 101.

Great hike. I've hiked this trail several times. Haven't gotten back there yet this summer. I think the previous reviewer turned down the first "1168" road. Need to drive past that one and continue on FR11 to the 2nd FR1168.

Hiked this route to Devil’s Peak on 7/2/20 and had to park at the Salmon River Trailhead because the Green Canyon Campground was closed off. We didn’t see anyone else on the way up and only saw 5 others at the top and on the way back. The trail was overgrown at some points but very easy to follow. The morning dew made the route there very wet so I would recommend waterproof/sturdy shoes with good tread. First 3.5 miles are a pretty steady uphill so be prepared for that. The views at the top were pretty nice but it was a bit foggy. There is a lookout tower at the top that you can stay the night in. The tower has games, beds, chairs, pans, and a few other things that have been left behind. Total mileage out and back: 12.3 Total time without stops to the top: 3.5 hours Total time without stops both ways: 6
