Umatilla, Oregon Map

We started at Hat Rock. It's a straight, wide gravel path. Good for jogging, horses, walking. Really nice views of the river. Also there's no shade and it can get very hot, so bring water.

first trail walk and saw turtles seagulls and a deer family in the creek eating blackberries

Peaceful trail. Fairly flat but nice!

McNary Wildlife Nature Area has lots of active wildlife and scenic views, with many trail options near water. McNary Dam has an interesting visitor center and fish ladder viewing room that are worth the visit. For locals to the Umatilla and Hermiston area, this is a great place to walk regularly. There are numerous small gravel parking areas, a larger paved parking area near the dam, and 2 or 3 bathroom facilities nearby.

Good views but way to easy.....It's a walk in the wind though.
