Super easy hike for our three young hikers. Beauty surrounds from the views afar to the ones under your feet. We were surrounded by butterflies, flowers and millions of tadpoles!!! Highly recommend for young family's or even just someone needing a break from the every day errands in life.

As always - a good hike with great views. Glissaded down about 1000 feet. So fun. Total time 5h.

Awesome views of lake and mt bachelor. Easy hike with lovely wildflowers and trickling streams

Tumalo Mountain is a popular hike in Central Oregon with fantastic views from the top!

Wonderful scenery in a old growth Douglas Fir forrest. Still snow on the trail on July 3rd. Moraine Lake is gorgeous and provides breath taking views. Definitely worth going.

I'm 15 and come from SC, so I'm not very skilled in hiking. But this trail was fantastic and had it's tough moments, but the views were worth it!!

Great hike. Views were worth the pain!

Easy precursor to connecting with the Broken Top Loop Trail to see Noname Lake. Or use as a cool down after concluding the 14 mile round trip to the top of Broken Top

Decent hike. First time backpacking. Could not see any lakes until Lava Lake at the end of the hike. There is a campground at the end (so not quite backpacking). I would recommend either making a reservation at the campground prior or doing the hike one way.

Very beautiful hike. Was a little tricky keeping on trail do to snow cover in some parts but it was still well worth the trip. Make sure to have camera ready because there are so many beautiful sights to record.

Go back to California, the hikes there are way better.

Relatively easy trail with a fantastic view at top!

Camping at lake was excellent for an early start to the summit, mid thirties at night, light wind.. Pretty much snow free. Sensitive area, no fires, upper canyon trail closed for restoration.

So there are two different ways to get to Moraine Lake. You can go on the south Sister trail to the junction with Moraine Lake trail. This way is pretty steep in places but you do get a pretty dramatic view when you get to the Moraine Lake trail. The other way is to go on the Green Lakes trail for about 2 miles until it meets up with the Moraine Lake trail. This way is my favorite - the grade is much easier and the trail is a lot more scenic. Also on the Green Lakes trail when you get a little more than a half mile in follow a small side trail downstream for a peek at the redundantly named but quite dramatic Falls Creek Falls.

Just gorgeous and easily accessible! Dog friendly. Wear waterproof shoes and bring bug spray!

Went last summer in early August. Park along highway when lodge is closed and walk up to the trailhead. Beautiful views, still a couple patches of snow to go over near the summit. Had trouble finding trail until near summit so I ended up scrambling up much of the mountain. Was a lot of fun, planning on making this hike a summer tradition!

very pretty with wildflowers, mountain views, & clear snowmelt lake. trail wet & muddy in places so be prepared.

It's a very easy hike with a beautiful view of Mt Bachelor.
Most parts of the trail were still covered in snow and even the road to the trail was closed, but you can park you just before the barricade and walk down to trailhead (~0.4 miles).
Also, wildflowers just started to bloom!!!

Hiked in from the snow park hoping to do a little fishing. Still 95% iced over. Took our poles for a walk. Beautiful area in each of the seasons.

There is still quite a bit of snow here. You can’t drive to the trailhead as one of the Lodge’s is closed.

Excellent hike with stunning views on a clear day! Tough incline heading up, but well worth the views. Snowshoed in mid- March

Great views and a really nice trail, hard hike but a good challenge

Snowshoed on a clear day in January. Followed previous tracks up, and blazed our own trail coming back down. Quite steep at the final ascent, but manageable. View from the top was breathtaking.

By following the existing trail forged by those before me, I went straight up - round trip with some wandering around at the summit left my GPS showing only 2.98 miles. Snow was an icy pack the whole way up. Summit would be fantastic... On a day without a complete whiteout. Still worth the trip, great length and strenuous for a weekend day hike between breakfast and a late lunch. I look forward to going up in the spring.

Beautiful hike for snowshoes. Trail is covered so you’re at the mercy of the previous snowshoer who picked a pretty spicy grade up to the top.

Awesome in January!

Was extremely cloudy and snowy when we were on top. Some pictures going up looked beautiful. Trail signs in winter we’re not very visible and took a completely non trail path up. Very hard and steep in snowshoes. Over all weather held this one back.
