Great hike. more than we expected but Ramona Falls was worth it!

Parts of it were absolutely beautiful. But it was hard to tell how to stay on the trail at times- and it went through a campground part way which was strange.

great trail! worth the hike is suggest wearing hiking boots or sneakers. I wore chacos and my feet were fine just SUPER dirty at the end.
carry lots of water with you!
if you go on a warm /hot day wear swim gear so you go in the lake.

awesome trail and well maintained

Loved it

Awesome hike and you get to see some really cool waterfalls. Love that you can walk behind some of them. I would grab a map at the start as there are some forks in the road. Cafe is a cool place to grab a beer when you finish.

Beautiful waterfall! The hike wasn’t too bad, but at the end it does get steep and I had to slide down so wear shoes with good traction.

this spot is super cool!! worth the extra drive out here in such a rural area. its absolutely beautiful out here and the trailhead is gorgeous. I love the running river near by the whole time. it was mine and my fiance's first time here and we will be back. we took our two fluffy Maltese pups and one of them got burs stuck on his face and legs. they are adventure dogs and loved it but with all the cheatgrass and burs it was hard going any further for them and had to unfortunately turn around, but we will definitely be going back to finish it or at least get half way through just us two.

Trail was overgrown and it felt like I needed a machete to just walk. We got lost because we couldn't see where the trail led, not to mention all the spider webs. The water at the end wasn't really much to see in person, I wouldn't really call it a beach. I doubt I'll be back, this place is lightly trafficked for a reason.

Beautiful hike and wonderful camp spots! Definitely going again! Bring your bug spray.

The waterfall itself is magnificent, and the bridge adds a unique vantage point and looks pretty cool in photos too. I gave it 3 stars because unless you come super early or super late, you’re going to be with hundreds of other people. If you can manage to come when there’s little to no crowds, it’s easily a 5 star waterfall.

amazing but if you want solitude don'g go between Friday-Sunday.

Good quick easy hike.

loved this hike!! First time on this trail brought my 5 year old and 2 year old. It was nice to be able to put my 2 year old down for majority of the hike. They only big issue I ran in to was where the map states where the trail head is. spent half an hour walking around with my kids before giving up and just going to mill creek. luckily Mill creek has a giant map that showed us where it was at. So if you go there it's about a mile after the bridge heading into town on Mill Creek Rd. Not at the bridge where this map has it marked.

We started at the fish hatchery and walked towards the trailhead and back again. Total of 5 miles. It was amazing!

We started at Hat Rock. It's a straight, wide gravel path. Good for jogging, horses, walking. Really nice views of the river. Also there's no shade and it can get very hot, so bring water.

Not a long hike but a challenging one. Bring lots of water...

Easy hike over beautifully maintained trail system. This park was created during depression days by the CCC and WPA programs. Cool history and awesome terrain. Fairly heavily traveled but no bikes or dogs. A real pleasure.

Nice way to see ferns and Oregon grapes up close

Hiked 08/15/18. The mileage is most definitely 19 miles round trip minimum. The flies are still kind of mental in the forested section above Ramona Falls but they thin out as you get out of the treeline and into the open meadows above. The last section along the open ridge has some harrowing drops to your left as you ascend. Have fun, be safe and pack it out.

Nice trail, view of mount Jefferson was amazing!

Perfect and lots of wildlife.

Pleasant hike but very crowded. The drive up after turning off the highway was quite a bit longer than I expected and very winding, with some potholes and most of it being single lane it was a little nerve wracking for me. I arrived right after 11am on a Thursday and the lot was completely full. About ten cars showed up right behind me and all just parked along the side of the road. Seems to be one of our local “hotspots” with need for permits in the near future. Bathrooms at the parking lot were indescribably filthy. I’m a nurse and I dry heaved... then practically bathed in hand sani. Would not recommend for a peaceful, quiet hike through nature due to the crowding. Great hike to go be out with friends/family, it’s not super hard, the bridge was cool, and some people were swimming around the waterfall at the end.

The trail is miles up the road from the park. You keep driving along the road until it turns to gravel and then I followed my gps through the turns. If you put in butte creek falls into your gps it will take you there. Don’t try to go this time of year though because the white gate is closed and you can’t drive down. Currently it says no motor vehicles but if you wanted to park and hike down a few miles to the trail head you could do this. Not sure when it opens back up but I went in late June and it was open to drive down to the trailhead. It’s not a long hike once there but the falls are breathtaking and quick to get to. There are two waterfalls at this location.

Hardest hike I've done since Yosemite few years back. Highly recommend hiking poles due to the elevation climb; little to no switchbacks on the trail. Note that you need a recreation pass visible in your car at the trailhead, and that there is a registration box a little ways up with a form that needs filled out. Other then the copious amounts of black flies at higher elevations, the hike was amazing. Still got some good views of Mt. Hood even with some smoke haze in the air.
