Large parts of the loop have wide paths. Well traveled trail. Occasional muddy area but clean for the most part. A relatively easy "moderate" trail.

Great quick stroll with my daughter and pup. Busy and a little narrow for social distancing. There was also a little muddy in some areas.

it was a good experience, trail with the beautiful nature and we ended up with amazing river view

Love this trail, especially on a rainy Portland afternoon!

Overall a good hike and well maintained trails. North creek trail was muddy. I would avoid Boones ferry rd next time I go. Went in the morning and not too busy.

Map it to the intersection of Skyline & Skyview. This is a neighborhood entrance. On the other side of Skyline, just slightly further, you will see the green fence at the trailhead. Park on the side of the road there, you will see. it’s easy to pull off! Muddy hike, if you have waterproof shoes I would recommend them. Easy loop to navigate with signs posted at junctions. Very few hills, slightly steep ones though, overall it’s really easy.

Steep uphill! sunny spots!

Most of the trail has a very wide and even surface. Even if there were a fair number of people out, the wide path allowed social distancing and then some. Parking is minimal. There is enough space along the shoulder of Skyline Boulevard to allow 3 or 4 cars just southeast of the pull-off for the trailhead. The pull-off serves as entry to a small neighborhood driveway before reaching the gate to BPA Road to start the hike, so it's best not to block that area. There were several trail sections with mud, but not too deep or sloshy. Stones protrude out of the ground as the trail descends counter-clockwise. These can be slightly uncomfortable on the feet, but that was probably my tired feet complaining after a 12.5 mile hike prior to starting this one. For such a short loop route there are a few pleasant changes in scenery and elevation gain for exercise.

Fairly easy trail. Well maintained. Good for walking or running. Dog friendly. The scenery at Tryon Creek is pretty uniform across the park, but beautiful if you love the forest. There are also many other trails nearby. Tryon Creek is currently closed due to COVID.

This trail is actually excellent if you have a dog. Yes, you have to walk along a road for a very short period (.2/4.7 miles), but there are bike lanes and sidewalks for you to follow - the rest of the trail is like a regular hiking trail. Plus, you’re not obligated to go along the road. There are many other trails at Tryon Creek. The scenery is all pretty uniform across the park, but beautiful if you love the forest. I completed most, if not all, of the trails at Tryon Creek in a few hours and would recommend this one just because it covers the most of the park and allows you to experience the majority of what it has to offer. Tryon Creek is currently closed due to COVID. I actually ran into a park ranger who told me I needed to leave, but she was super nice about it.

Nice loop. A bit of intense uphill but mostly moderate. I took my dog here looking for a less crowded hike and this fit the bill though somehow I ended up doing the loop “backwards” so I had to pass everyone else on the trail, which was not as ideal during social distancing. Encountered a few off leash dogs but most were under their owners control. Oblivious owners with off leash dogs they don’t have voice control over is a pet peeve even though my dog is friendly.

Good trail, but very muddy this time of year. No fee associated with this park as it is separate from the Sauvie Island Association.

not good if you have a dog it makes you walk along a very busy road for about a quarter-mile
